I met the UNDP team stationed in Bhutan in the Haa valley, where they talked to me about this project. It is a very inspiring initiative underpinned by systems thinking, where social and environmental impact go hand in hand and are pretty tangible. The lovely, welcoming people I encountered in Bhutan, and especially the impressive communities still living at high altitude, deserve this support and the opportunity to protect their livelihoods and lifestyle.
