**A good CNC mill will be used mainly for machining cryonics-specific custom designed aluminum and copper components. The more expensive mill is bigger, has a larger work area, and due to greater rigidity of the structure it can machine more types of materials in less time.

**Almost everything we build requires threaded fasteners of some kind. We have always ordered fasteners piecemeal, which means that we buy each one separately at retail price as needed. Buying bulk fasteners means that we will have those fasteners in stock, and these will be much cheaper to implement in the long run. The price differential is based on which fastener assortments we can afford to purchase. More $ = more fasteners.

A well-designed engineering space is essential for maintaining and advancing our technical capabilities. Your contribution will help establish a purpose-built work environment where our team can efficiently manage, maintain, and develop our critical systems and equipment. This investment in infrastructure directly supports the quality and reliability of our preservation services.
