My time at UWC Costa Rica has shaped my life and career by gaining a global perspective through connecting with great people from all over the world, while living a top class education experience. Love to be able to give back and help empower younger students with huge potential. 

UWC Costa Rica is a two-year residential pre-university program culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma, which brings together young people from over 70 countries to live and learn, inspired by nature and the local context as the only United World College in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Driven by  our mission “To cultivate in young people the passion and ability to serve humanity and our planet —learning *from* nature and *from* each other for a lifetime”, your donation through this page supports three essential pillars:

UWC makes education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, over 80% of our students selected through UWC's national committee receive a scholarship. This support allows UWC to continue selecting students based on their potential and merit, regardless of their race, gender or financial means.

Most UWC national committees across the globe are run by volunteers. With selection activities in over 150 countries and territories, this volunteer network identifies promising young students, many of whom would never otherwise have access to a transformative UWC education.
