I was looking for an African NGO to support that's both spiritual and helping people on the ground, and so glad I came across the Uganda Buddhist Centre! Bhante Buddharakkhita teaching meditation while feeding the poor, schooling orphans, and digging clean water wells. Turns out he's the first Buddhist monk in Uganda. Watched some videos on their YouTube channel and I'm excited to start supporting their work monthly from California.
