**About the Kofi Annan Foundation**
The Kofi Annan Foundation is an independent non-profit established in Switzerland in 2007 by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. We strive to build a fairer, more peaceful world by supporting democratic leadership, empowering youth, and fostering inclusive international cooperation.

**Our approach is rooted in Kofi Annan’s values**: dialogue over division, dignity over discrimination, and global solidarity over isolation. Inclusion, gender equality, and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.

Through our programmes, we:

- Empower youth to lead peacebuilding and development efforts.
- Strengthen democratic integrity and accountable leadership.
- Champion multilateral cooperation in addressing today’s global challenges.

Young people are often sidelined - but we see them as powerful agents of change. That’s why we support youth leaders with seed funding, mentoring, and access to networks through initiatives like:

- **Extremely Together**, a youth-led network countering extremism and building peace.
- **WYDE Accountability Hubs**, training young leaders to advance good governance in Africa.
