Barbara May Foundation provides lifesaving maternal healthcare, and fistula repair, for underprivileged women in East Africa. 

Barbara May Foundation (BMF) is committed to restoring women's dignity through fistula treatment *and* prevention. We are committed to reducing the number of women dying or sustaining preventable childbirth injuries in East Africa.

BMF builds and supports the running costs of high-quality, fully-equipped **maternity hospitals**, to save women's lives during pregnancy and childbirth.

BMF **trains and equips** local midwives, doctors and surgeons, as well as - in remote areas - traditional village birth attendants.

BMF restores women's dignity, agency and hope, through **fistula repair surgeries**.

All of these services are provided free of charge, to **ensure every woman has access** to free maternal healthcare.
