The Women's Elite underwater hockey team is competing at the World Championships in Gold Coast, Australia this July. We are a team of 12 athletes from all over the United States. The process begins with a rigorous set of tryouts to select the group. Throughout the months leading up to the championships, there is a lot of preparation such as kickboard sets, weightlifting, dryland puck work, underwater hockey practice, and breath control training. We regularly all practice together at training events around the country to improve teamwork and strategy. It finally culminates in a 2 week long tournament where we will compete against other women's elite teams from around the world, all vying for a medal. All of the athletes work jobs or are in school. Training, travel, and event costs are paid for by them and through donations by wonderful people like you! Please help us fund this competitive endeavor! We very much appreciate the support.
