**Amref Health Africa** is the largest Africa-based nonprofit delivering health and development solutions through African leadership and local partnerships. Founded in 1957, Amref works to strengthen health systems and expand access to primary healthcare across more than 35 African countries.

Our mission is to improve the health of people in Africa by partnering with and empowering communities and strengthening health systems. We focus on all areas of public health as well as the social determinants of health - advancing reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health; preventing and responding to disease outbreaks; training frontline health workers; addressing the impacts of climate change on health; economic empowerment; and more.

With a strong emphasis on equity, youth empowerment, and community leadership, Amref ensures that the most vulnerable—particularly women and children—can access life-saving care. We are a trusted partner to governments, local organizations, and global funders.
