**Celebrate Olivia's birthday on 26 September by supporting something that was incredibly close to her heart.** 

When Olivia imagined the cancer centre that would one day carry her name, she wanted it to be about more than treating cancer.  

She believed  people should be cared for as a whole person - mind, body and spirit.  

That belief helped shaped the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre, in Melbourne, Australia, where people facing cancer can access wellness and supportive care at no cost, alongside their treatment.  

For someone going through cancer, that can mean exercise physiology to help rebuild strength, psychology support when things feel overwhelming, or simply having somewhere calm and welcoming to go between appointments. 

And that support is needed more than ever. **Demand for cancer wellness sessions has increased by a third in just two years.**  

**This week, as we celebrate Olivia's birthday, we are inviting her friends in the USA to help make sure this care continues to be there for people facing cancer.** 

Your gift will support the wellness care Olivia believed in so deeply, treating not only the cancer, but for the person living through it.

We are a public hospital in Melbourne, Australia that is dedicated to caring for cancer patients in mind, body and spirit.

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre (ONJ Centre) is a comprehensive cancer centre with a difference. It provides patients with world-leading medical treatment, integrated research, leading clinical trials and tailored, evidence-based wellness therapies within a calm and tranquil setting. This unique approach supports every aspect of a patient’s physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing.

**Olivia’s vision**

Dame Olivia Newton-John AC DBE championed the ONJ Centre from its inception in the early 2000s. As a long-term cancer patient herself, she was passionate about incorporating wellness therapies into cancer care.

Her vision was to make wellness therapies accessible to all cancer patients. Today, wellness therapies such as massage, art therapy and exercise have proven benefits when integrated into supportive cancer care, but 13 years ago this approach was unheard of in a public hospital setting. Olivia championed an innovative way of supporting the whole patient – mind, body and spirit.
