Open Lunar aims to engage in programs and activities to create a peaceful, self-sustaining presence on the Moon, with the goals of preserving Earth's species and knowledge, and the positive evolution of civilization for the benefit of life; including, but not limited to, facilitating and conducting scientific research in the public interest, undertaking projects, collaborating with other entities, organizations and persons engaged in related activities, supporting and facilitating communities, advancing public awareness and understanding of scientific activities, fundraising, making grants in furtherance of the foregoing, and engaging in ancillary or related activity in furtherance of the foregoing. The greater context for the Moon activities is as a first step towards a thriving spacekind.
