Over the past few years, my involvement with kidSTREAM Children's Museum has been one of the most rewarding and transformative experiences for my family and me. Through this journey, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working alongside so many passionate and dedicated people — board members, staff, volunteers, and supporters — each with a shared vision of creating something extraordinary for Ventura County’s children.
As a family, Emily and I have grown alongside our children in our understanding of what it means to give of yourself to help others. Whether it’s been attending events as a family, where our daughters eagerly share about what they love about kidSTREAM with anyone who will listen, or seeing their eyes light up as they interact with hands-on exhibits and invite others to see what they're exploring, this experience has shaped how we see the world and our role in it. My children’s excitement for what we’re building is matched by their understanding of why we’re doing it: to ensure that every child in our region has access to opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
I’ve learned that giving isn’t just about writing a check or showing up to a board meeting. It’s about stretching yourself — your time, resources, and energy — to create something bigger than yourself. I encourage you to do the same. Stretch yourself to give, however you can, and be part of something transformative.
kidSTREAM is at an incredibly exciting moment in its journey. As we approach groundbreaking and prepare to open next year, a growing community of people and organizations are rallying for the future of children across Ventura County. Together, we are building a museum that will increase access and equity to immersive hands-on learning and play, while creating life-changing opportunities for over 200,000 children growing up in our region.
