The Warsaw House Foundation's mission is to protect homeless and refugee  LGBTQ+ youth in Poland and provide them with the tools they need to live independently. Our inspiration was the  Ali Forney Center  (AFC)  n NYC, which is largest organization in the world offering support to homeless LGBTQ+ youth. We are honored that Carl Siciliano, the AFC's founder is on the board of the Warsaw House Foundation and works as an advisor. We place extra attention on HIV and STI education, support and prevention with the help of board member Dr. Joanna Kubica and the Smart Life Clinic in Warsaw.  After we took in our first LGBTQ+ youth to house on February 14th, 2023  we have been flooded with calls for housing and support from young people in need.  These are Polish Trans 18 year-olds from the Polish countryside in desperate need to escape their abusive and intolerant homes, young queer people with PTSD and untreated mental illness who need housing and support immediately, LGBTQ+ refugees from Ukraine and several young gay men from Iraq who suffered torture in their homeland, were detained and imprisoned at the Polish/Belarussian border for up to two years, and are now trying to build their lives in Poland.  We are also housing and supporting young LGBTQ+ people from Uganda and Egypt,  We are raising money to support the young people under our care, to house and feed them and pay for their medical needs and courses needed for them to start an independent life,  We are also raising money to hire staff (all of WH's work is now done by volunteers), to continue the renovation of our residential building and for short term emergency rentals.  We have a committed and professional team and a well planned strategy for both emergency and long term care.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Throughout high school, she actively volunteered her time, at beach clean-ups and clothing drives, etc. showcasing her unwavering commitment to helping others. Her aspirations extended to volunteering at pet shelters, reflecting her deep empathy for animals. In honor of Madison’s legacy and her selfless desire to make a difference, this Foundation was established to continue her altruistic endeavors and positively impact the lives of others, embodying the kindness and generosity she exemplified.

A community-supported independent library & artist workshop of printed material, fiscally sponsored by Intersection for the Arts.

The Prelinger Library in San Francisco offers thousands of historical maps, zines, documents, books and other materials, all of which are available for artists to reference or reuse. Its collections serve activists, writers, musicians, composers, poets, novelists, journalists, and historians. The Library was established in 2004 and has served over ten thousand reserach visits. Its collections have supported the production of artists talks series, films, novels as well as open-ended explorations by people working across all media types. As a 100% community-supported project, the Library s free to pursue equity and justice, abolition and libration, and to serve the community as a trans- and queer-safe space and infoshop for survival and resistance. The Library puts hospitality first and offers sparkling water or tea to every visitor.

The collections also hold government-produced documents from eras when artists and writers were widely employed in their production, offering art and literature in unexpected places as well as roadmaps toward civil societies. With stacks materials ranging from eighteenth century documents to works produced this week, the room serves as a slip in spacetime within which a couple hundred years of human experience and experiments can be browsed. Library hosts represent a range of subject-matter expertises including public transportation, radio science, zine making, natural history, library science, book arts, moving image history and production, and nonfiction writing.

c89.5 is listener-supported public radio, playing uplifting dance music and providing career-connected learning for our students.

c89.5 is a listener-supported, non-commercial radio station owned by the Seattle Public Schools and operated by professional adult staff and students in the electronic media program at Nathan Hale High School. The station is almost entirely self-funded: over 87% of its operating revenue comes from listener donations and local businesses.

Over 150,000 listeners throughout Puget Sound tune to c89.5 every week for a diverse range of music celebrating individual differences and focusing on the joy in life. The station reaches a broad range of listeners, with a high concentration in both the 18-24 and 45-54 age ranges. Over 30% of c89.5 listeners identify as LGBTQ+.

c89.5 supports the personal and professional growth of our students, giving them the skills and confidence to succeed in careers in media and other professions. What we do
HRAPF has five major goals (outcome areas)

1. Sustained access to justice for marginalised persons and key populations
HRAPF champions equality and non-discrimination for marginalised persons and key populations by promoting and facilitating access to justice. A team of lawyers and a network of paralegals is always on standby to respond to emerging cases in order to redress violations that marginalised persons and key populations continue to face. We engage law enforcement agencies on violations of rights of our constituencies and document all violations and initiate interventions that seek to hold perpetrators of these violations accountable. We support the training and facilitation of community paralegals across the country and all our target constituencies to continue providing legal aid services through their structures.

2. Development of knowledge and jurisprudence for the promotion and protection of human rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations
We continue to be a key leader in the generation of knowledge on various dimensions of human rights of marginalised persons and key populations. Having merged some components of access to justice and research and advocacy, HRAPF is set to build a Centre for Law and Marginalisation to champion research and strategic litigation and provide robust legal solutions to violations of rights of marginalised groups and key populations.

3. Inclusive laws and policies promoting and protecting rights and the well-being of marginalised persons and key populations
We speak out and amplify the voices of marginalised persons and KPs in policy and legal development processes as well as challenge discriminatory practices and systemic and institutionalised marginalisation through advocacy and influencing strategies. We create, nurture, and or strengthen partnerships on the one hand with national bodies that are concerned with human rights. Through these partnerships, we will seek to influence the agenda on non-discrimination and equality at district, national, regional (East African and Continental) and international levels.

4. Transformed knowledge, skills and attitudes of marginalised persons and KPs and duty bearers leading to the promotion, respect and protection of the human rights of marginalised persons and Key populations
We consolidate all empowerment and capacity-building efforts through organising and conducting issue-based human rights training workshops and meetings targeting marginalised persons, key populations ((LGBTI persons; sex workers; women, girls and service providers in conflict with abortion laws; drug users; people living with HIV and; refugees) and duty bearers (police officers, media, judicial officers (specifically magistrates), parents, local leaders and health providers as well as state prosecutors and prison warders) to champion non - discrimination and reduce the marginalisation of key populations.

5. Strong and sustainable human rights organisation
HRAPF continues to strengthen its operational efficiency and financial independence buttressed by effective governance, sustainability, prudent risk management, internal development and a clear staffing structure that suits the organisation for sustainability, transparency, accountability, effectiveness and efficiency in delivering on our mandate.

Major Strategies
HRAPF’s five outcome areas are achieved through the following major strategies:

1)	Legal aid service provision: HRAPF facilitates access to justice in respect of violations of the rights of LGBTI persons and other marginalised persons and key Populations and health service providers through legal representation, mobile legal aid camps, alternative dispute resolution/mediation, community paralegals and documenting violations of the rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations.

2)	Advocacy and influencing: HRAPF challenges laws, policies, regulations, guidelines and practices that curtail and violate the rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations and proposes other possibilities. We also advocate for the integration of human rights in policies, laws, operational guidelines, frameworks and regulations and the application of constitutional values and principles and the rights-based approaches in the implementation of services. We do this through dialogues, public education, coalition building, and engaging with national, regional and international human rights spaces and mechanisms.

3)	Building and Strengthening Capacities: Using legal and human rights frameworks, HRAPF develops human rights awareness, promotion and advocacy capacities of CBO’s, NGOs and networks of marginalised persons and Key Populations groups and NGOs working on human rights issues. HRAPF also develops the capacities of duty bearers (including: political leaders, law and policy makers and implementers, law enforcement officers, judicial officers, local councils, families and communities and health service providers), prison warders on the rights of marginalised persons and Key Populations and their duties in the promotion and safeguarding these rights. We build capacities of rights holders, duty bearers, communities and key stakeholders to enable them pursue greater rights for marginalised persons and Key Populations. We do this through: training, tailor-made technical support, internships and mentorship, and legal awareness outreach sessions.

4)	Knowledge Development: HRAPF invests itself in expanding the pool of knowledge and encouraging debate through regularly undertaking legal analyses, simplifying and translating and disseminating knowledge resources such as: laws, policies and bills; position papers; human rights violations reports; research and baselines.

5)	Strategic Litigation: HRAPF challenges laws, practices and actions that violate the rights of marginalised persons and Key populations through the filing of cases before courts of law and tribunals. These are reinforced through research and documentation of human rights thereby enriching jurisprudence for the rights of a marginalised persons and key populations.

6)	Partnership Development: Nurturing and participating in strategic partnerships at the national, sub-regional, Pan African and global levels for the strengthening of the rights-based approaches and utilisation of legal and human rights mechanisms. This we do through coalitions and alliances, lobby meetings, engaging at regional and international human rights mechanisms and strategic interest litigation at national, EAC sub-regional and Pan-African regional levels.

7)	Programme Support: Building a sustainable organization that operates in an effective, efficient, professional and accountable manner. This we do through: prudent corporate governance; attracting and retaining a competent staff team; robust monitoring, evaluation and learning; resource mobilisation and risk management.

Human Rights Awareness and Promotion Forum

The Rivanna Area Queer Center provides a safe refuge for all LGBTQIA+ people 
in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties.

LGBTQIA+ people need spaces of our own where we can take refuge, build resilient communities, and organize for our collective liberation. RAQC provides a safe and loving home for the queer community in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties. Programming at RAQC addresses multiple areas of need: support groups, peer counseling, and on-site mental health professionals contribute to the emotional wellbeing of our community. Classes and workshops on topics as diverse as screen printing, foraging, and self defense address our physical and creative needs. Social events like mixers, parties, and performances ensure that our region’s vibrant queer culture continues to flourish. In addition to our own programming, RAQC also serves as a safe and accessible space where all local queer organizations and individuals can host their own events.

Neuromatch is democratizing science by creating opportunities in education, networking, and scientific communication. 

Neuromatch enables more people to participate in scientific research by overcoming barriers in the form of education, social networks, and accessibility of science communication. 

Specifically, we find innovative new ways to allow collaborative access in these areas by enabling groups of scientists to work together to make these platforms as public goods that can scale up to be used by many. 

Our Academy provides live instruction, open source education that is contributed to by hundreds of researchers to provide always affordable education to people around the world. We are active in 15 different countries and teach undergraduate and PhD level science in 20 different languages. 

Our Community program creates online-first scientific conferences and community events that focus on human interaction, allowing us to leverage the equitable nature of online work without significant sacrifices in the networking and connection aspect of these events. 

The NMDA program provides researchers with real on the job experience in internships, job matching, and career guidance. 

Our large buy in to these communities we serve provides us the ability to conquer problems in science dependent on large network effects, such as issues in academic publishing, job matching, and large research collaborations.

CHOW’s mission is to support wellness within the food/beverage/hospitality industry and to improve the lives of our community.

Anyone who’s dined in a restaurant has experienced hospitality. From servers and bartenders to dishwashers and chefs, each person working in a restaurant gives their all to make guests feel welcome, cared for and nourished.

Our mission is to return the favor. To care for the people who take such good care of us. To provide a place for restaurant staff to feel supported, heard and appreciated. To facilitate gatherings where we can build meaningful connections with folks who “get it.” To lift each other up so we don’t lose anyone else to suicide, addiction or struggles surrounding mental health.

CHOW was created by individuals in the food and beverage industry to bridge the gap between personal and clinical care. Everyone in the food/beverage/hospitality industry needs community and wellness resources. For those in recovery, CHOW recognizes that long term recovery needs connection and CHOW provides opportunities for that connection.

We do this by:

Abortion Freedom Fund supports accessible, affordable, evidence-based abortion pills by mail for all. Our mission is to help pregnant people take control of their healthcare and futures by dismantling medicalized control of abortion and encouraging a world where abortion pills are over the counter.

We simplify access to care for patients by funding virtual abortion providers and clinics, individuals accessing telehealth abortions, and reimbursing local funds for telehealth abortion care, allowing them to focus their resources on people seeking procedural abortions in their communities.

The InReach platform connects users to independently verified services, including safe housing, medical and mental health care, legal help, abortion care, meal assistance, education and employment opportunities, translation, community and spiritual support, and more. Available on web (desktop and mobile), native iOS, and Android, over 9,000 services across the U.S. are currently listed with new verified services added daily by trained volunteers.

Designed to meet intersectional community needs, InReach lists vetted service providers focused on LGBTQ+ asylum seekers/refugees/other immigrants, BIPOC communities, transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) folks, youth and caregivers, and more LGBTQ+ communities in need. Concerning data reveals that 23% of Asian New Yorkers live in poverty, significantly higher than the citywide average of 16% of all New Yorkers. And a staggering 28% of Asian American older adults 65+ live in poverty. As the American Bar Association reveals, Asian elders, especially those from immigrant backgrounds, endure more social isolation and mental health struggles than their peers due to linguistics, financial, and cultural barriers. These factors combined significantly impact the mental and emotional well-being of Asian American older adults in a city where depression and suicide among older adult immigrants are on the rise.

**Heart of Dinner addresses these critical community needs by home-delivering to Elders with Heart of Dinner's signature nourishing care packages of culturally thoughtful and nutrient-dense food, bundled inside lovingly hand-illustrated bags, attached with uplifting handwritten notes in the Elder's native language.**

**A Note from Our Founders about Heart of Dinner & Our Evolution from 2020-2024:**

Dear Cherished Supporter,

Thank you for taking a moment to connect with our mission. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our journey with you—a journey born from a deep, instinctive need to care for our Elders. **In March 2020, at the onset of the global pandemic, we leapt into action to support our Asian American elder community, who were facing devastating food insecurity, isolation, and loneliness.**

While many believe the urgency that defined the pandemic has passed, **the reality for our Elders remains critical. Even now, 1 in 3 Asian American older adults live below the poverty line.** These challenges are not new. For decades, this community has been overlooked, its struggles masked by the harmful “model minority” myth, which conceals the deep inequities faced by Asian American Elders. This, combined with language barriers, technology gaps, and economic hardship, means that many continue to lack access to the resources and care they deserve.

Out of a guttural instinct to protect and uplift our Elders, we **transformed our 300 square-foot apartment on the cusp of Chinatown and the Lower East Side into a sanctuary of cultural resonance and care.** We hyperfocused on those in the most critical state, providing emergency food relief and addressing their emotional needs through handwritten notes in their native languages, making sure our Elders felt seen, valued, and dignified.

**These care packages are more than just food—they are a lifeline.** Filled with culturally meaningful lunchboxes and fresh groceries beloved in Asian immigrant households like bok choy, rice, mung beans (and more!), all lovingly bundled inside decorated bags, attached with notes of love & joy that deliver warmth, connection, and belonging.

As our work evolved beyond emergency relief, we **built Heart of Dinner into a nonprofit focused on sustainable care.** Thanks to our incredible community of donors, partners, volunteers, and small team of staff, we have transformed into a **501(c)(3) public charity that continues to nourish and uplift our Elders, week after week.**

By Summer 2024, **we have delivered over 200,000 meals to beloved Elders living in significantly under-resourced and underinvested communities across New York City.** And our work is far from over. The challenges our Elders face didn’t begin with the pandemic, and they certainly won’t end with it. **These hardships are rooted in long-standing societal and governmental neglect, where policies and systems have historically overlooked the needs of this community.**

**Looking forward, we have plans to build Heart of Dinner's own delivery infrastructure with a fleet of electric vehicles, hire a dedicated team of drivers trained in our protocols—which emphasize cultural respect and thoughtful care when serving our Elders—and we aim to increase our care package distribution by 25%.** **These efforts will build upon our ongoing commitment to delivering care packages to our Elders and existing beneficiaries with the same high level of deep care and compassion.**

**Behind the scenes, we are strengthening systems to support Heart of Dinner’s sustainable growth,** so that we can continue to serve with deep care for years to come. **With these steps, we aim to cover all five boroughs of NYC—and even dream of extending our love and care to California.**

We are an LGBTQ+ nonprofit helping queer people and their close ones feel safer in Russia.

Coming Out LGBTQ+ Group has been helping LGBTQ+ people in Russia since 2008 by providing free psychological and legal support to LGBTQ+ people, engage in educational activities, produce information materials on LGBTQ+ issues and related topics, conduct research and engage in international advocacy, work with the wider society to recognize rights and freedoms for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. Since 2022 Coming Out has been working primarily online from outside Russia, though the work is still aimed at LGBTQ+ communities and their environment within the country. Within 2023 Coming Out has been working on over 40 court cases, provided >800 legal consultations, >3400 free psychological consultations, 275 peer-to-peer consultations for trans*persons, conducted 2 studies with over 10,000 respondents, published numerous materials with an average 400 000 views monthly.
