Our Conservatory program has access to Grammy & Platinum winning songwriters & producers, A&R executives, managers, indie and major record labels, and expert vocal coaches. We offer classes in Performance, Songwriting, Style, Piano & Guitar, Vocal Production, Production, Movement, Branding, Business, and Wellness.

Hollywood Vocal Foundation

Rebuilding roofs in underserved communities throughout Puerto Rico while providing carpentry training to local residents.

Our mission is twofold: We rebuild damaged roofs in under-served communities throughout Puerto Rico, while providing residents with basic carpentry training. This approach helps improve living conditions by improving housing and addressing the shortage of skilled construction workers on the island.

At PRoTechos, our approach to rebuilding involves working closely with the communities we serve. We network with local community leaders, other non-profits, and municipalities to locate the most urgent cases, and we focus on helping residents who do not have the financial resources to hire help for roof repairs. We prioritize homes with children, elderly, and sick or disabled occupants.

Once we have identified a candidate for roof replacement, we assess the roof. Our work is limited to roof repairs or reconstruction of metal roofs. If the homeowner and the roof qualify, our project manager performs a detailed assessment, taking measurements and creating a scope of work. Once release forms are signed, our project manager orders the lumber and other roofing materials, and works with the foreman to schedule the project.

Depending on the size of the roof and extent of the damage, it can take a team of two to four people between two and 10 days to complete. Rain often interrupts our schedule; for safety reasons, we do not allow anyone on a roof when it is wet. In all, each roof costs an average of $10,000 to complete, including materials and labor.

Carpentry and construction work are done by skilled carpenters and trainees who participate in our carpentry apprenticeship program.

The Open Door NJNY equips immigrant families through weekly English, TASC, and computer classes at 4 sites across the NY/NJ area.

The Open Door empowers marginalized immigrants to reach their full potential and
successfully integrate into mainstream society. We provide 5 levels of ESL instruction as well as classes in GED preparation and computer literacy. Our 4 program sites serve over 600 individuals in NY and NJ - equipping them with the skills they need to succeed in the United States. 

There are two aspects of our program that set us apart from other academic services in the metropolitan area:

1. Our classes are completely free for our students! Our programs are funded by the generosity of our supporters.

2. The Open Door has a highly relational focus and emphasis on community. Students may enroll in our program to learn English (and other skills), but they receive so much more- friendship, support, and the reminder that they are valued members of our community and deeply loved as image bearers of God.

DIY Girls empowers girls to explore STEAM through programming that builds skills, confidence and community.


DIY Girls mission is to increase girls' interest and long-term success in technology, engineering and making through innovative educational experiences and mentor relationships.

DIY Girls was founded in 2011 to inspire and motivate girls to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and math by Luz Rivas, current California State Assemblywoman for the 39th District. Luz developed the first module of the Creative Electronics curriculum, which is still used today. Since then, DIY Girls has expanded our programming to include Creative Engineering, Invent Girls, GANAS Alumni Network, Summer Woodworking Camp, and much more. DIY Girls has served 5,711 girls and now serves nearly 450 girls per year across 15 school sites in the Northeast San Fernando Valley and with community partners throughout Los Angeles.  The majority of the girls in our programs are girls of color, ages 10-18 who reside in the Northeast San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, including the City of San Fernando. DIY Girls positively influences girls by providing tools to build their technical skills and confidence to pursue STEM as they enter adolescence and start to explore career interests. JANN is an organization that works to improve the quality of education in Mexico by providing free online math tutoring.


Jóvenes Ayudando a Niñas y Niños (JANN) is working on improving education for thousands of students in Mexico by providing free online mathematics tutoring.

Through their platform, JANN connects college students who volunteer as tutors with children from primary and middle schools. University tutors undergo initial training and interviews to ensure suitability, to be assigned to teach groups of up to five students. These groups meet online for two hours a week over a period of twenty-four weeks, focusing on reviewing math topics and reinforcing learning.

The impact extends beyond academics, with tutors serving as bridges between students and knowledge, offering academic and emotional support, and often becoming role models.

Approximately 40% of participants access classes via cell phones due to limited computer access at home. JANN's is high impact low cost intervention making use of technology to coordinate over ~10,000 participants each semester at minimal cost.

JANN is also a research project led by MIT PhD students, aiming to discover effective teaching methods applicable worldwide. Continuous financial support is sought to sustain this impactful program, as JANN is an NGO offering free tools and resources to all participants.

**Fundación Kahlo**, a newly formed nonprofit organization based in New York City, was conceived and established by the Kahlo family to preserve Frida’s legacy and promote Mexican, Indigenous, and Latin American art and culture on a global scale. We started Take on College in 2019 because we noticed the lack of mentorship resources available for those who would become first-generation college students. The average college counselor can cost upwards of $100 per meeting - and as college students who can't afford that, we want to help.

 

Through Take on College, we provide an accessible program for students to learn from others who have just gone through the same process. About Alma Institute: 

Our mission is to strengthen and diversify the network of legal psychedelic service providers by offering prioritized enrollment and certification opportunities to people from marginalized communities. We seek to increase benefits and prevent harms by creating pathways to apprenticeship, employment, and ongoing peer support for facilitators in this growing field.

Launching in Oregon in 2023, our social justice-rooted training program practicum to prepare students for licensure under the nation’s first legal psilocybin services program. We seek to raise industry standards so people from all backgrounds can find belonging and thrive in psychedelic work. This requires anchoring in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, feedback, accountability, and meaningful practices of sacred reciprocity. 

We exist so psychedelic healing work can not only be available to our communities, but relevant to our ancestral and lived experiences and impactful for generations to come.

Our Approach:

We hold a strong focus on continued support and skill building for new graduates, and are weaving a culture of engagement, mentorship and accountability into our programming. We will support this by hosting in person and digital integration circles for new and experienced facilitators, supporting networks of student pods to continue learning together, and leading industry-wide conversations about ethical standards and care. 

Oregon ranks among the worst for mental health conditions and is dismal in access to therapy and psychiatric services. The numbers are even worse for people from marginalized social locations. These community members experience higher rates of the very mental health conditions that psilocybin can help address. However, psilocybin is not a cure-all. Wellbeing is systemic and depends on the harmony of a variety of factors. The success of psilocybin services will depend largely on the trust and rapport established between client and facilitator, the client's sense of safety and belonging, the environment in which services occur, and importantly, the follow-up care and support provided.

As in talk therapy, it is critical that patients have the option of working with someone who has shared identifiers and can relate to their lived experience. This is especially important when working with racial and gender-based trauma and deep healing processes. 

Additionally, the lasting benefits of psilocybin will rely on external factors, such as access to healthcare, safe and consistent housing, healthy food, community support, and gainful employment. It is essential that individuals working in this new industry understand and are engaged with the intersectional approach to wellbeing and community health; if they don't, the industry will be peddling a short-term band-aid solution, with service sites overwhelmed by high-paying experience seekers and fail to deliver on the promises of lasting change and healing promoted by the Psilocybin Services Act. 

Alma Institute seeks to bring a deeper inquiry to psychedelic therapies and help raise standards for the field at large. If we are successful, we can shift the conversation from one laser focused on mental health, to one about the historical roots of our suffering and the systemic shifts needed for collective healing.

The Sengbe Pieh senior secondary excellence academy is dedicated to granting dozens of promising young women access to a quality high school education and to paving a way for them to forge a bright future. Through the academy, students not only gain strong academic foundations but also learn to establish their voice, gain awareness of their rights, take pride in and ownership of their minds and bodies, and gain the confidence to march forward and dictate their own successes. 

We aim to transform the face of education for girls in Sierra Leone with a mission to foster intellectual growth, develop leadership and catalyze social impact across communities.

We focus on four pillars of success:

1. Education quality: Our small class cohorts of 24 girls are taught by six subject matter teachers, which enables the personalized attention needed to achieve strong academic foundations. 

2. Civic and Female Empowerment: On “Special Fridays”, we teach topics key to civic education with a special focus on female empowerment.

3. Critical Thinking: By moving from corporal punishment to PBIS (Positive behavioral interventions and support) techniques, we create an environment where girls feel comfortable posing questions rather than avoiding wrong answers.

4. International exposure: We host international guest lecturers onsite. In the past, these partners have expanded computer literacy skills; taught girls about their reproductive systems; and conducted art therapy to foster self-esteem and resolve conflicts.

Each industry's diverse needs and uses of capital vary, requiring a solution to synchronize the myriad of efforts across stakeholders. At the IDAC Foundation, we are committed to connecting the industry to advance:

- Financial Literacy: through partnerships and new programs, we acknowledge the full life cycle of financial literacy training and education needed to reduce wealth inequality. From early childhood education efforts to adult financial wellness programs, our goal is to ensure financial literacy becomes a fundamental right for all. 
- Financial Career Paths: we partner with various diverse intern and career path programs to generate a more inclusive workforce. Since entry level roles in financial services tend to start at higher income levels, we are investing time into programs and partnerships that train more underrepresented communities for a career in financial services, while creating mentoring programs for mid to late-stage leaders to take on roles as asset owners, chief of investment officers, trustees, board of directors, as an example.  
- Resource Sharing: we provide free thought leadership programming and research  to amplify data to leaders and institutions to make informed decisions on the state of underrepresented communities while tracking progress for a more inclusive ecosystem.

"It's ironic that I started out on theses very streets in the 80s and was apart of a documentary about homeless youth, now here I am 32 years later helping those living in homelessness on the very streets that I began on long ago.

Seattle Dogs started in 2014, helping one dog at a time, one paw  with one bag of dog food one paw at a time we handed out pet food. After working hard to have it all midway through our lives we spiraled down the windy road to nowhere fast and as the world we'd  built with unwavering love, dealing with hardships, forging our happily ever afters, having beautiful moments with our 3 young grankids, enjoying our dogs, it all came crashing down, were we really at rock bottom? With the reality of losing our home in our faces we began to navigate homelessness with our 4 dogs  

 we understood the obstacles, needs and necessities of these dogs and their humans. We had no idea when we started this that we would grow into who we are today. We look forward to learning and growing as we navigate our way thru the need of the animals and their humans

Diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease I am truly living that country song "live like you were dying" by Tim McGraw, while surrounded by love I battle my illness and push to keep Seattle Dogs going,we have to stay open, we must keep going, it's keeping me alive, with this I ask you to please donate! EBC builds power with systems-impacted people to drive systems-change. Over its 27-year history, the families and communities EBC organizes with have collectively transformed the criminal justice system in California, from closing  abusive youth prisons to passing first-of-its-kind legislation to challenge racial discrimination in trials and sentencing. Building on the organizing approach of civil rights leader Ella Baker, EBC invests in the leadership of the people most impacted by racial oppression. EBC is led by systems-impacted people and implements solutions created from lived expertise. Recent California victories like the Racial Justice Act for All, the RISE Act, and the Access to Programming Act were pioneered at EBC and are poised to bring thousands home to their families. EBC also invests in leadership in its core base. For example, currently incarcerated people are most impacted – but least included – in policies for decarceration. Through EBC’s 9,000+ inside member network, currently incarcerated people weigh in on policy solutions, organize with their peers, speak out on issues impacting their lives, and get support to advocate for their freedom. Locally, in the Bay Area, EBC builds credible alternatives to prisons. Restore Oakland, EBC’s community center, models investments that return opportunity to over-criminalized neighborhoods. Here, EBC and partners offer resources like restorative justice circles, re-entry support, tenants rights tools, job training, and entrepreneurship funding that build a vibrant, prosperous community. [The Trust for the Americas](https://www.trustfortheamericas.org/) provides underserved populations with access to technology and digital, entrepreneurial, and soft skills training in 400 learning centers, managed by a network of 59 local partners. Upon completion of their training, individuals who take these courses have improved access to jobs, start their own businesses, or pursue further education.

The Trust was established 27 years ago to **promote social and economic inclusion** for vulnerable communities in the **Americas** through partnerships with the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Our unique alliance with the Organization of American States (OAS) allows us to have access to decision-makers within the region. This foundational partnership is the basis through which we create strong networks across member states and the private sector.

Through its employability and entrepreneurship programs, The Trust has positively **impacted over 5.5 million individuals in 29 countries of the Western Hemisphere**, helping them on their journey towards economic independence for themselves and their communities.

FOOD SECURITY
-- Our Weekly Drive Thru Food Pantry ensures that families have access to nutritious meals every week.
-- We also offer a weekly Vegan, Plantbased, Allergy Friendly Food Pantry to cater to specific dietary needs.
-- For seniors and those with medical conditions, our Emergency Food Home Deliveries bring nourishment right to their doorstep.
-- Our Meal's On Wheels 4 Kids GA Home Deliveries program ensures that children never go hungry.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE
-- We provide temporary housing to families facing homelessness, giving them a safe place to stay during times of crisis.
-- Through our Housing Resources program, we connect individuals and families with affordable housing options and support services.
-- We offer Utilities Assistance & Resources to help struggling households keep their lights on and heat running.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

-- Our Career*Learning Center equips individuals with the skills and resources they need to secure stable employment.

BASIC RESOURCES ASSISTANCE
-- Our Community Garden not only provides fresh produce, but also serves as a place of community engagement and empowerment.
-- Join our Adopt A Road / Community Clean Up initiative to keep our neighborhoods clean and vibrant.
--We provide Unhoused (Homeless) Hot Meals & Resource Assistance to those living on the streets, ensuring they have a warm meal and access to support services.
-- Pets are family too, which is why we have the Pet Pantry "Project Companion" to provide food and resources for furry friends.

By combining quality legal services with know-your-rights education and youth development, Centro Legal ensures access to justice for thousands of individuals throughout Northern and Central California.

Hispanas Organized for Political Equality® (HOPE) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to ensuring political and economic parity for Latinas through leadership, advocacy, and education to benefit all communities and the status of women.

HOPE® prepares and supports Latinas as civic leaders, advocates for policy changes that champion equity for Latinas, and educates the public on the experiences and contributions of Latinas to our economy and society. For 35 years, HOPE’s innovative programming has served 60,000 Latinas and touched the lives of several thousand more through our advocacy efforts.

Latinas come to HOPE with a vision for a brighter future, and they graduate from our programs with the skills, knowledge, confidence, and collective ability to transform their communities and the world.

Together, we can uplift Latinas and bring about a bright future for our nation.

Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE)

Strategies, research, and resources that support the agency and influence of women’s foundations and gender justice funders.

WFN provides a collaborative environment for gender equity funders that connects bold ideas with the resources to propel them into action.

Through our network of more than 120 women’s funds and foundations, WFN provides gender justice leaders and advocates with a variety of tools to help them succeed—from research and education, to strategic-led initiatives and events, to advocacy and unifying a collective, amplified voice.

Lasting movements for equality are built and propelled at the grassroots level. When women, gender-expansive people, and their families are given the opportunity to create the resources they need for gaining education, accessing healthcare, and growing physical and financial security, they are capable of lifting whole communities with them.
