As famine tightens its grip and markets collapse, Gaza Soup Kitchen is still boiling pots—feeding 1,000 people every day with dignity and determination.

We were the first soup kitchen in North Gaza to lean on local farmers and forage from nature to keep people alive. When others paused, we adapted. When supplies ran out, we improvised.

Today, we operate across 11 kitchens, run a community clinic, and deliver clean water and hot meals to hospitals—even in the hardest-hit zones.

This is survival work, done by people living through the very crisis they’re responding to.

In over 70 countries around the world, MSF saves lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most—in armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crises.  The people who work for MSF are doctors, nurses, midwives, epidemiologists, water-and-sanitation experts and many others who combine their professional expertise with a commitment to the world’s most vulnerable people.  Each year, these medical teams run close to 470 projects where they care for millions of people.  

As an organization, MSF is neutral and operates independently of any political, military, or religious agendas. It does not take sides in armed conflicts, provides care based on needs alone, and advocates for increased independent access to victims of conflict and disaster as required under international humanitarian law. Medical teams conduct evaluations on the ground to determine a population's medical needs before opening programs, aiming to fill gaps that exist (rather than replicating services that are already offered) or reach communities that are not being assisted.  Over the years, the organization has been the recipient of several awards that recognize its work, including the 1998 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize, the 2012 J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding, the 2015 Lasker-Bloomberg Public Service Award, and the 2017 Pardes Humanitarian Prize for Mental Health.

United Hatzalah volunteers provide lifesaving medical care on the scene of emergencies prior to arrival of an ambulance. Medics arrive on average, within 2-4 minutes of the call for help, often faster. Receiving initial treatment within 4 minutes of the incident assures a higher chance of survival in critical situations, and speedier recovery from injuries and illness. The United Hatzalah medics treat and stabilize the patient and then integrate with the arriving ambulance crew who arrive typically 8-10 minutes after the initial call for help. In times of war and in times of peace, from missile strikes to hemorrhagic strokes, from terror attacks to heart attacks, from car accidents to childbirths – United Hatzalah medics are prepared for any eventuality.

Bread For Israel is a 501c3 non-profit focused on relieving child hunger by supplying fresh bread to children in Israel. 

Bread for Israel has a very clearly defined mission. Our goal is to alleviate child hunger in Israel. The organization was started when the child of an American family in Jerusalem noticed that some of her classmates were coming to school without a sandwich to eat. She went home and told her parents who did some research and discovered that this was not an isolated occurrence. They realized that there are numerous children in many cities across Israel coming to school without sandwiches. In some families the children take turns with their siblings for the privilege of eating, and bring a sandwich on alternating days. Children who are hungry can’t learn well, can’t sleep well and can’t develop properly.

A few people came together to discuss the problem. The solution they reached was bread. Filling on the stomach, easy to transport and distribute, and available at a reasonable price. Together they arranged some initial funding, and got out the first batch of bread. In that first distribution in December of 2013, bread was distributed to 22 locations. 

Since 2013 our organization has experienced constant organic growth. We have been steadily increasing our bread distributions, vetting and adding new locations (we currently have over 300 distribution spots) , as well as growing the current distribution points. New neighborhoods are constantly reaching out to Bread For Israel requesting that their neighborhood also be added on to get bread.

The overhead costs for running BFI are paid for by private donors so that 100% of donations go towards feeding children in Israel.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen. Since October 2023, over 30,000 people have been killed. Thousands of children are missing, likely injured or dead under the rubble of destroyed buildings. Over 1.7 million remain displaced at emergency shelters, facing severe shortages of food, water, fuel, medical supplies, and other essential resources. Dire water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions, damaged hospital infrastructure, and malnutrition are exacerbating urgent needs.

The Boulder-Nablus Sister City Project (BNSCP) is a people-to-people initiative working to link citizens in Nablus, Palestine with those in Boulder, Colorado. The groups in both cities consist of students (middle-school, high-school & university), entrepreneurs, farmers, artisans, medical professionals, professors, directors of non-profits and cultural centers, artists, engineers, yoga teachers, and so much more.

Our current focus is on supporting the Nablus community with humanitarian contributions. We have donated 1,500 olive trees to replace those destroyed by settlers; we donated an incubator to the neo-natal intensive care unit; we donated an ICU-equipped ambulance to Askar Refugee camp; we purchased all the equipment needed to open a brand new medical center in Askar Refugee camp; and we are now focused on raising funds to purchase a fire truck to replace the current vehicle in the fleet that is specially designed to squeeze into narrow spaces in the Old City and Nablus’s four refugee camps.

Our campers live with a variety of serious and chronic illnesses including: cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, Cystic Fibrosis, Epilepsy, Familial Dysautonomia, heart/cardiovascular diseases, Hemophilia, Type 1 Diabetes, heart, kidney and liver transplants, neurological disorders, rheumatic diseases, severe asthma, trauma victims, burn victims, and other conditions.

These campers represent the range of Israeli society—rich and poor, Jewish and Arab Israeli, Hebrew and Arabic speakers, religious and secular, as well as those whose diseases can be seen and those who look completely healthy. Since the Village was founded as an apolitical organization with a principle that ALL children deserve to experience childhood, no child is ever turned away because of race, religion, ethnicity, or socio-economic level.

Rondine Cittadella della Pace is an international organization dedicated to promoting peace and dialogue through educational and cultural initiatives. Founded in 1997 in the town of Arezzo, Italy, the organization focuses on empowering young people from conflict zones worldwide by offering them trasformative experiences that foster mutual understanding, leadership, and conflict resolution skills. The mission of Rondine is to prevent future conflicts and build a culture of peace by training a new generation of leaders who will promote intercultural dialogue and peaceful coexistence in their home countries. The organization's activities aim to create long-term peace by addressing the root causes of conflict, such as intolerance, lack of understanding, and cultural divisions.

**1. World House**

The **World House** is Rondine’s most significant initiative. It serves as a residential community where young people from areas of conflict live together for 18 months, studying, sharing experiences, and engaging in personal growth. The project brings together students from opposite sides of conflicts—such as Israelis and Palestinians, or young people from the Caucasus and Africa—who would otherwise never meet. The goal is to create a space for mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence. Participants undergo training in conflict resolution, leadership, and intercultural dialogue, with the aim of preparing them to return to their communities as ambassadors of peace. This initiative represents a microcosm of the organization's broader goal: to change the culture of conflict into one of collaboration and understanding.

**2. Quarto Anno**

The **Quarto Anno** program is a special initiative for **Italian high school students**. It offers a year-long opportunity for students in their fourth year of high school to live and study in an international, intercultural environment. The program focuses on the development of leadership skills, critical thinking, and conflict resolution, with a specific focus on building peace and understanding. Students participating in Quarto Anno engage in both academic studies and practical activities that encourage them to work across cultural and national divides. This initiative fosters a deeper awareness of global issues, especially conflicts, and trains students to become future leaders who are equipped to handle challenges in a peaceful and constructive way. Quarto Anno also involves direct interaction with students from diverse backgrounds, allowing participants to practice and apply what they have learned in real-world scenarios.

**3. Sezione Rondine**

The **Sezione Rondine** project aims to bring the **Quarto Anno** experience to other **Italian high schools** across the country. This initiative extends Rondine's peace-building programs to schools beyond its main campus in Arezzo, allowing students from various regions of Italy to participate in the Quarto Anno’s trasformative year-long peace and leadership training. In this decentralized model, Rondine collaborates with high schools to offer students the opportunity to engage in the same curriculum of conflict resolution, intercultural dialogue, and leadership development that is central to the Quarto Anno program. Students in Sezione Rondine receive the same educational experiences as those at Rondine’s central location, empowering them to become active peace builders in their own communities while forming a network of young leaders across Italy who are committed to building a more peaceful society.

**4. Leaders for Peace**

In December 2018, seventy years after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and a century after the end of the First World War, Rondine’s students and alumni launched an Appeal to the entire world to take a first step towards decisive, positive shift concerning human rights at the global level. With the “Leaders for Peace” campaign, Rondine asks each of the 193 Member States to devote a symbolic sum from its defense budget to the training of as many young, global peace leaders. These new leaders will be able to intervene in the world’s most complex conflict scenarios, promoting the development of pacified social and political relations. Rondine also asks each UN Member State to consider including education on human rights in national education systems, integrating it with the Rondine Method for the creative transformation of conflicts. The objective is the gradual extinction of war contexts from the world through the affirmation of a new culture capable of unmasking the false concept of enemy, and of spreading among all citizens the skills to positively transform conflicts by integrating the teaching of the Rondine Method with human rights.

Rondine Cittadella della Pace, through these initiatives, addresses the critical need for education, dialogue, and leadership development in conflict regions. The organization’s projects aim not only to provide young people with the tools they need to become effective peace builders but also to change the broader narrative around conflict, promoting cooperation over division and dialogue over violence. Through its educational programs, Rondine continues to build a global community committed to fostering lasting peace.

Planet Humana alleviates poverty, improves access to education and healthcare, and responds to humanitarian causes. 

Planet Humana was informally founded in June 2023 and immediately began scoping and implementing projects that year. In March 2024, it was founded as a Company Limited by Guarantee in Australia (the Australian equivalent of the US’s 501(c)3) and, as of December 2024 is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. 

The projects listed below in this document are a part of our first phase of establishing a portfolio of demonstrable good work. Our short-term goal is to continue to build this portfolio while seeking to build out a small circle of like-minded donors who favor support to grassroots organizations and a more hands-on approach to selecting, verifying, and following up with beneficiaries without imposing many of the onerous reporting requirements of larger organizations. 

 Our longer-term goal is to be able to sustainably fund a rotating portfolio of some 20-50 projects each year, with some projects attracting multi-year funding, and others remaining as one-off grants. 

 Current activities: 

●	The building of a dam in Kenya 

●	Support for a school in Nairobi 

●	Support for equipping a maternity hospital in Masai Mara, Kenya 

●	Support for an income generation and plastic collection initiative on the island of Lamu, Kenya 

●	Support for HPV/STD activities in Timor Leste 

   Future Activities: 

●	Ukraine—We intend to support Ukraine with an initial scoping journey and an envisaged slate of 3-4 projects. Ukraine may remain the principal funding focus.. 

●	Afghanistan—We are investigating the prospect of supporting one of the poorer districts in Ghazni province, with an entry project of a water bore. We hope to discreetly segue into some form of support for the very informal education systems for girls in those areas. 

●	Argentina—We have a long-standing donor interest in Argentina and hope to fund projects there. 

●	Palestine—We are investigating the prospect of supporting a shipment of medical equipment to a trusted partner in the Myriad network for the eventual re-equipment of Gazan medical centres. 

●	Sri Lanka – We hold an ambition to do post-conflict work in this country.

**Our story**
We are a small team of young Jewish professionals who, in these dark times, have refused to be helpless. In the aftermath of October 7th, we launched a grassroots initiative to connect the world to the reality on the ground in Israel—not through headlines, but face-to-face with terror survivors themselves.

We needed to combat the lacking media coverage as well as the spreading misinformation and justification for the attack. Also, Jews and allies around the world needed empowerment and resilience in the face of increasing global antisemitism. And finally, the survivors themselves needed to share their heavy burden and feel the world's support. So we dove into action with nothing but conviction and our personal network to begin filling this urgent need.

Today, we’re a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that has coordinated itineraries for 20 different October 7th survivors, reaching over 400 communities worldwide, including over 100 college campuses. Each event is a platform for survivors to open up about their experience and answer questions, authentically connecting diverse audiences with Israeli reality and offering inspiration with their resilience. We work with synagogues of all denominations, churches, youth groups, high schools, interfaith centers, workplaces, and many other types of communities. Our work has enabled tens of thousands to meet a survivor in person, replacing statistics with lived human stories.
