The students are from 9 families, two villages and range in age from pre-school to University. We have 14 girls and 7 boys. We have 2 young men, who are my community representatives in Kenya, who have graduated from university and one young man who has graduated from high school and now has his sights set on being a Veterinarian. I started in 2017 with one University student and his siblings, 3 girls and one boy, who were in Primary and Secondary school at the time. It has been quite a journey in the past 4 years."

The Fungi Foundation is a global organization that works for the Fungi, their habitats, and the people who depend on them.

Launched in 2012, the Fungi Foundation is the first NGO dedicated to the fungi kingdom. Since its inception, it has achieved numerous milestones while dedicating itself to exploring the fungi world in view of increasing knowledge of their diversity, educating about their applications, and recommending public policy for their conservation. As part of our ongoing 3F initiative, the foundation played a key role in enabling Chile to become the first country in the world to include protection of fungi in its environmental legislation. More recently, the foundation proudly announced the Fantastic Fungi Education Curriculum, the world's first mycological set of courses designed for schools.

Our World in Data publishes an open-access publication where users can understand the state of the world today, where we are making progress and where we are falling behind. Through interactive data visualizations we can see how the world has changed; by summarizing the scientific literature we can understand why. We cover everything from global poverty to natural disasters, education and health, democracy; we have over 13,000 charts across hundreds of topics.


Our World in Data is free, open-source and provided as a public good. It has millions of users every month, and is cited in research and media across the world every day. This allows millions of people to understand the large problems the world is facing, and how we can solve them.

Our latest business initiative in Kenya is Beehives. We have started two apiaries with 25 hives each in two separate villages. The beehives are a long term investment that we expect to pay big dividends in self reliance for these communities. A purchase of 25 Beehives is about a $4000 investment. The home for Meleon and her children has been completed and on March 27, 2021 her home was blessed by the local minister. Meleon is very grateful for this blessing of a new home made possible for her and her children through your generous donations. Thank You!


Gabriel, Caroline and Emmanuel, 3 of our students live with their widowed mother, Meleon, in this mud hut that has reached the point of collapse. Funding of $500 has been provided. We need to raise an additional $500-$1000 to build a new home with solar lighting and a water tank to store rain water off the roof. This will provide a clean, dry and safe environment with adequate lighting to do studies. It gets dark at 6:00 pm in Kenya year round.  The water tank will eliminate long treks to fetch water for cooking and drinking.

We are currently having a campaign to purchase "100" Days For Girls Kits with Reusable Washable Sanitary Pads to keep girls in school all month, every month. Period. Each kit costs $10. We purchase these kits from a Days For Girls Sewing Enterprise in Kenya. So besides keeping the girls in school purchasing these kits also provides income to women in Kenya who sew and put the kits together. Thank you!

*We support projects and initiatives that result in income opportunities for both individuals and communities. Projects range from raising chickens for eggs, meat and market, goats and cows for milk, meat or market. We establish gardens in communities for the production of food for consumption and market.

*Clean, safe, dry and adequate living accommodations are essential for families to thrive. We provide solar power for homes where electricity is not available. Students achieve better results in school when basic home lighting is available in the evening hours so they can study and read. 

Money raised through fund raisers and direct individual donations go directly to No End to Love’s humanitarian and charitable purposes. Administration costs are self funded and supplemented with 5% from proceeds from our Savers Clothing Drives. We have no staff or rent to pay but there are always some expenses involved when running an organization.

JCC Warsaw is a safe, caring, people-driven and inclusive space which brings together community members and newcomers interested in exploring, defining and redefining diverse Jewish identities through informal Jewish education and Jewish culture. 
We encourage intergenerational connections and mutual responsibility.
We enable a sense of community accompanied by joy and trust.

The JCC Warsaw opened in October 2013 in response to the need observed within the Jewish community of Warsaw. We started our operations from running a few cultural and educational programs for children, families and adults, held at different cultural venues around Warsaw. For the past ten years we have had the pleasure to run activities at our JCC building and outside of it, offering over 20 regular programs, 3 annual sleep away camps and several special events.

In June 2021, by an initiative of a group of active members and lay leaders, JCC Warsaw was registered as an independent local Foundation. Becoming an independent organization has meant creating brand new organizational structure, bringing together capable professionals and both already engaged and emerging lay leaders. With the anniversary of the opening upcoming in October 2023, we are at the same time getting ready to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our operations and still working on building a self-sufficient, sustainable organizational structure. 

One thing that has not changed throughout the first decade of our activity is that our JCC, frequently called “our little home” by the members, is always open and welcoming for members of our community and their families and friends.
We embrace the community in its entirety, consisting of varied individual Jewish narratives. 
We honor all personal stories and emphasize the need of building new connections between all different members of the community.

JCC Warsaw proudly stands as the epicenter of Jewish connections, nurturing vibrant cross-generational relationships that form the bedrock of our community. Through a diverse range of activities and initiatives, we foster bonds that transcend age boundaries. In some cases we start with age-specific programming, which is the case of the Moadon kids' club that offers engaging activities blending Jewish values, culture, and fun, allowing children to explore their heritage in a joyful and interactive way. One of our dreams for the future is to expand Moadon's activities from weekly meetings to meeting also any time there is an adults event.
On some other occasions, we get to bring representatives of different generations to immerse in Jewish experiences together, for example coming from all corners of Poland to join our sleep away family camps. Both Camp Atid and family sleep-away camps equip our members with lasting memories, friendships rooted in shared experiences and a love for Jewish traditions.

Looking back at the first decade of our activity, JCC Warsaw, undoubtedly, has been keeping the Jewish spirit alive despite different hardships coming our way. With such a long Jewish history as the one of Polish Jewry, including the chapter of irreparable losses brought by the Shoah, followed by the communal life suppression under the communist regime, cultivating individual and collective Jewish identities has been no easy feat. While accommodating to the post-pandemic new normal, marked with the society wide trend of withdrawing from social life, we couldn't have seen what was to come in February 2022. 
Yet in the light of the invasion in Ukraine and the huge refugee crisis it has brought, both the local Jewish community and the wider Polish society have shown up to help out millions of Ukrainians fleeing war. 
Having experienced living as a minority and being driven by the value of tikkun olam - the Jewish concept of repairing what is broken in the world, right after the invasion we have opened the JCC doors to the Ukrainian refugee community and have been sharing our home ever since. Over a hundred families found a safe entry point to their new life in Warsaw thanks to the daycare for Ukrainian kids that we run daily, several hundreds made new connections with each other and with the local Jewish community members joining our kids, adults (focusing mostly on mothers) and family programming. No matter their Jewish background or lack thereof, welcoming new Varsovians coming from Ukraine has become part of our daily routine and despite the fact that the merging process between the “old” and “new” communities may take several years, we are ready and up for this challenge. 

Although we are still feeling absolutely heartbroken after the tragic events of October 7th, 2023 we are aware of the fact that our community needs us now, probably more than ever. We know that many of our members are experiencing loneliness and anxiety. In these trying times we want to reaffirm our mission of being a safe, caring, people-driven and inclusive space bringing people together. We offer a place where where people can talk to each other both about their differences and similarities. We are now opening our refugee daycare program also to the children of Israelis who are coming to Warsaw. As a Jewish community center in Warsaw we can firmly say that we are at our best when we are there for each other.

Support early childhood development for 3, 4 and 5-year-olds in Liberia.

Steve Griffith and Chris Dickey established the  Friends of the Garden School , a  donor-advised fund  at KBFUS, in 2018 to fund the construction and operation of the Garden School in Gbarnga, Bong County in Liberia through the Liberian non-profit Standard Early Childhood Development. The Garden School is a community-based school in Liberia based on developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education. Located in Gbarnga, Bong County, the School focuses on young children (ages 3-5) through an innovative model unique in the West African nation. According to the African Early Childhood Network, there are no free early learning services in Liberia. The Garden School provides active discovery learning to meet that need for Liberia's youngest citizens. Early childhood education is critical to the foundational development of productive and healthy children. The Garden School provides two meals every day. Breakfast draws the child to school; lunch keeps the child at school. The meals give children the nutrition they need to focus and perform during these early, formative years of learning. The School fosters active parent participation as well. Every child has a parent who volunteers at the school to enhance education and build school community. Parent workshops help parents see what their children are learning, how they can help, and what they can do with other children at home. The school offers a support system and built-in "extended family" of role models for students, consistent with the African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child." The design of the school grounds further promotes an important feature of the traditional African approach to conflict resolution in communities. In the center courtyard of the campus is a palaver hut. In Liberian society, the palaver hut was historically a meeting place for leaders to help peacefully and candidly settle disputes in the local community. The palaver hut is a particularly poignant symbol in a country that experienced a violent, 14-year civil war, in which tens of thousands of children were forced to fight as child soldiers with psychosocial effects in a harrowing conflict that divided their country. "The impact [of the war] on a generation of Liberian youth, compounded by the 2014 school closure due to the Ebola outbreak, [has] had a huge impact on the education system," according to UNICEF. Today, on the campus of The Garden School, there is conflict resolution training. The palaver hut is an optimistic, hopeful symbol, a way of signaling and teaching peaceful conflict resolution for Liberia's next generation.  When students are not in class, they will be able to develop their natural and social skills in student gardens and play areas. And when school is not in session, the school buildings and grounds can be used for the community. Today, the Garden School serves not only as a place for 3, 4, and 5-year old children to build critical, foundational learning skills to set them up well on a path for a positive education and life. The school is also designed for local teacher training. Through workshops, the school's teachers spread their evidence-based teaching model to other educators in the community.  $10 to $20 helps cover the cost of a parent attending a one-week educational workshop to teach parents and guardians how they can help support their child's learning and development 
 $25 to $50 helps cover the cost of one primary school teacher in Bong County, Liberia to learn the methods of early childhood education, and prepare elementary schools to receive young, capable graduates of The Garden School, perpetuating the cycle of educational growth and development in the community. 
 $80 to $100 covers the cost of two nutritious meals per day for a student for an entire school year.

We do this by integrating music into elementary school curriculum, which greatly enhances language acquisition (especially second language acquisition), cognitive development, physical coordination, social-emotional well being, and acts as a vehicle for families to create music together. Music Is First! provides research based in-school music and literacy residencies, professional development to teachers, music curriculum, and free resources (lesson plans, instructional videos, etc.) to teachers and parents to foster our mission.

We collaborate with a variety of community organizations to identify needs, close gaps in services and provide opportunities for children.

**Anabel’s Grocery is a student-run nonprofit grocery store that strives to provide nutritious, affordable food to all Cornell students.** Our store is located on Cornell’s campus, eliminating the need for transportation to distant grocers and greatly reducing the time required to shop. Our subsidy fund enables us to partner primarily with local farmers and bakers to sell fresh produce, whole grains, dairy, legumes, nuts, herbs and spices at a low cost, saving our shoppers an average of 20% on their grocery bill. We are also the only venue on campus accepting SNAP-EBT.

Anabel’s is not solely a grocery store—**it is also a learning lab in social entrepreneurship and nutrition education**. We strive to improve food literacy through easy-to-make meal kits, cooking classes, community dinners, and farm tours. We also collaborate with like-minded student organizations to tackle the systemic forces that give rise to food insecurity and racial inequity within our campus food system. Our Anti-racism Action Fund, established from the sale of produce donated to us by Dilmun Hill Student Farm and the Cornell Hydroponics Club, enables us to provide microgrants to campus and community organizations that are working toward a more equitable future.

**Taawon (Welfare Association)** is a **non-profit**, **civic organization** launched in **Geneva** in the year **1983**, upon the initiative of a group of **Palestinian and Arab economists** and intellectuals.
**Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon**, whereby it touches the lives of **more than one million Palestinians** on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being **women**.
**Since its establishment, Taawon has invested funds reaching nearly US $900 million, dedicated to development and relief programs.**

The Pollinator Program is like a virtual residency of mutual support. Participants get matched with a small cohort of compatible peers, and work on your new website in good company.

**How it Works**

1. Get invited to join: All members are alumni from our network of vetted residencies, fellowships, and cultural institutions.
2. Match with an aligned peer circle: We place you in a dedicated cohort with five other members. These are your people. (One might even be your creative soulmate?)
3. Learn a new goal-setting method: Join video calls with your circle each week, guided by our curriculum.
4. Make real connections, and real progress: join the next Program cycle to continue cross-pollinating.

**Team**

We build collaborative technology for artists, by artists. We believe in the magic of human-to-human intelligence and see Pollinator as a way to strengthen cultural ecosystems through peer-to-peer connection.

Pollinator Co-Directors Caroline Woolard and Or Zubalsky are artists, educators, and technologists who have been collaborating for 15 years. From 2008-2018, they built and maintained TradeSchool.coop, an international peer-to-peer learning platform that was used in 30 cities internationally. Caroline Woolard is the co-founder of Art.coop, a national network of art and design cooperatives, and the co-author of Making and Being, a book about collaborative pedagogy. Zubalsky and Woolard have taught for over a decade at The New School, Rhode Island School of Design, Cooper Union, the School of Visual Arts, the University of New Mexico, Bennington College, George Washington University, and the University of Hartford. Zubalsky and Woolard got together to build Pollinator with a team of aligned engineers in 2024. The team at Minima has worked together since 2014 to deliver cutting-edge software-based solutions for corporate clients. Minima has built and managed widely used web, mobile, and server-side applications, including Apple's Music TV. Minima builds complex systems that scale, are maintainable, and cost effective. Minima prioritizes the end user across axes of accessibility, security, communication, and simplicity.

801 Labs is a Salt Lake City based hackerspace created by local information technology, electronics, and information security enthusiasts. 801 Labs is a physical space designed to be a center for peer learning and knowledge sharing in the form of workshops, presentations, and lectures. We also offer regular activities to the community, where people can gather to work on their own projects, exchange ideas, and learn from each other. Since 801 Labs is intended to be a shared community resource, almost all of our events are free and open to the public.

What will I learn at 801 Labs?

801 Labs runs a wide variety of classes that cover topics ranging from designing and building electronics, to information security, to programming, to 3D printing and 3D modeling, and more. Since we are a community run organization, our class offerings are based on what members of the local community are proficient in and willing to teach. The best way to find out exactly what you can learn is to check out our upcoming events.
