Because people should have their basic needs fulfilled. 

Good organization improving hospitals and healthcare in countries that need it.

WCK provides food to those in need during natural and man-made disasters. Right now in the wake of Covid-19 they are supplying take away meals in NYC. Personally I have seen them in action in Tijuana and they are an amazing organization.

SEEDS (Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society, www.seedsindia.org) is a 30+ years experienced humanitarian organisation that enables community resilience through practical solutions in the areas of disaster readiness, response and rehabilitation.

Since 1994, the organisation has worked extensively on every major disaster in the Indian subcontinent – grafting innovative technology on to traditional wisdom. SEEDS is recognized as one of the important humanitarian actors in India and Asia. It has reached out to families affected by disasters and climate stresses; strengthened and rebuilt schools and homes; and has invariably put its faith in skill building, planning and communications to foster long-term resilience. SEEDS is also India’s first agency to be certified for the global Core Humanitarian Standards – an international certification system for quality and accountability in humanitarian response.

We extend our commitment to voluntarily contribute to the goals set for 2030 in the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR), Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Paris Agreement.

Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises. Applying our model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real time, WCK has served hundreds of millions nourishing meals around the world. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking meals for people in need. WCK serves comforting meals to survivors of disasters quickly by partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of local restaurants, food trucks, or kitchens. To support regional economies, WCK prioritizes purchasing local ingredients to cook with or distribute. Food provides not only nourishment, but also comfort and hope, especially in times of crisis.

World Central Kitchen

Nelson Mandela University believes that no academically deserving student should be denied education due to financial constraints. Yet, many remain unfunded, including missing middle students—those who earn too much for government aid but too little to afford university. Others face historical debt, preventing graduation, while postgraduates lack NSFAS support despite the need for advanced qualifications. Financial hardship also leads to hunger, with 1 in 3 students missing meals, impacting their health, grades, and well-being. Partners In Health is a social justice organization that responds to the moral imperative to provide high-quality health care globally to those who need it most. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.

Our Core Beliefs:
-    All human lives have the same value, and every human being has the inalienable right to be healthy to fulfill their potential.
-    The right to health is not the only right held by our patients. Other fundamental human rights are interrelated and just as inalienable.
-    All people need to stand in solidarity with those who find themselves at the margins of modern society.
-    The playing field needs to be leveled for those individuals who are born at a disadvantage (equity vs equality).
-    Injustice is not accidental but a direct result of structural violence and oppression. We can fight injustice by changing those dynamics.
