Aquatic Life Institute (ALI) was founded in 2019 to address the critical and often overlooked issue of aquatic animal welfare. In some cases, dogs are moved from loving homes to concrete cages because their guardians have died or simply can't care for them anymore.

We reach out to senior dogs at risk, give them the care they need, and find them loving forever homes. If we had our way, no dog would spend their last days in a shelter. There is so much love and joy in these dogs!

Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered in the United States dedicated to finding and promoting the most effective ways to help animals. We do this by evaluating and recommending high-impact charities, awarding strategic grants to promising projects, and raising critical funds for the animal advocacy movement. Our ultimate goal is to educate and empower individuals and organizations to make a significant and lasting positive impact on the lives of neglected animals who are often forgotten. ACE envisions a future in which no individual is given less than full moral consideration on the basis of any morally irrelevant feature of their identity, including species membership.

ACE has a unique and influential role within the effective animal advocacy movement. Our global team is composed of experienced professionals in animal advocacy, effective altruism, and research methodology. To date, we have rigorously evaluated 85 charities that work to end factory farming and create meaningful change for farmed and wild animals, and recommended 38 high-impact organizations as effective giving opportunities. Through our strategic grantmaking, we have distributed nearly $20 million to our Recommended Charities and promising advocacy projects around the globe. Background on the Food for Life Project: The distribution of sanctified plant-based meals has been and will continue to be an essential part of India’s Vedic culture of hospitality from which Food for Life was born.
Since its inception in the early ’70s, Food for Life has tried to liberally distribute pure plant-based meals (prasadam) throughout the world to create peace and prosperity.
The Food for Life Global office facilitates the expansion, coordination, and promotion of prasadam distribution throughout the world. The project started in 1974 after yoga students of Swami Prabhupada became inspired by his plea that “No one within a ten-mile radius of a temple should go hungry!”
Today Food for Life is active in over 60 countries. With volunteers serving up to 2,000,000 free plant-based meals daily to schools, as well as from mobile vans and to disaster areas.
FOOD FOR LIFE is now the largest food relief in the world, eclipsing even the United Nations World Food Programme. Food for Life volunteers come from all walks of life. Food for Life Global and its worldwide network of affiliates are non-sectarian and non-discriminating.

A non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of life of pets affected by houselessness and poverty in Southern OR.


Rogue Valley Street Dogs (formerly known as Street Dog Project) was founded in 2013. We first operated as a program of Friends of the Animal Shelter in Jackson County, Oregon. In 2021, Street Dog Project was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are a community service public charity that focuses on improving the quality of life of pets affected by homelessness and poverty.

Our primary mission is to provide free spay/neuter services for animals of the unhoused and no/very low income in order to improve the lives of animals and prevent overpopulation.

To establish trust and improve the quality of life for dogs and cats, we provide limited high-quality food, collars, leashes, harnesses, coats, and other items to help pets in need. We also provide vouchers for low-cost vaccine clinics and help with flea/tick/worm medications and veterinary care when able.

As we continue to make spay and neuter our priority, we believe that a holistic approach with an educational platform to provide long-term, meaningful help will improve the lives of dogs and cats and prevent more animals from entering shelters, being euthanized, or leading a life of suffering.

We strongly believe in collaboration and work closely with partners who serve the unhoused communities and animals in Southern Oregon. We provide food and gear and host outreach events where we distribute donations and work with people to spay and neuter their pets.
