Democracy, we know, is fragile, but also worth every ounce of effort to preserve it and strengthen it. In a country whose deep differences have spanned more than two and a half centuries, our ability to converse about our differences and collaborate across the divide without rancor or resentment, is the secret sauce that makes democracy work. I applaud Astronauts for America for making this mission one that we can all get on board with.

I support three groups. Judge Luttig’s and NSL4America. Now this one. When tyranny is law, rebellion is the only answer. Our Constitution and our Rule of Law must be sacrosanct. Anything else is the end of this representative democracy which sadly too many in Trump’s administration are actively trying to destroy. Yes, destroy. Take them at their word and deed. They must not succeed. They must not.

I want to join you all to help preserve our democracy, decorum, diplomacy, rule of law as per the US constitution..Thank you for what you do!

Having met a few members of astronauts for America I very much appreciate their view of the world and our country as they have experienced the overview effect. Please follow their leads and their suggestions and participate in it and realize that we all are on one world spaceship earth traveling through the cosmos together

You are essential witnesses for a smart and humane world. Thank you for this initiative.

I gave because every vote should count, and ranked choice voting gives people more voice and less fear. Our democracy will work better when we can vote for who we actually want.

I go to schools, Boys and Girls Club as a NASA Solar System Ambassador. Teachers so appreciate the sharing of NASA's exciting missions with the class. I see first hand where STEM education is lacking and teachers appreciate the help in this area of education.

I have learned to appreciate and be grateful to teachers as they educate our children and our youth. Just like astronauts, teachers are exceptional individuals.

Ranked Choice Voting and Proportional Representation can save us from ourselves, protecting the rule of law and the Constitution. I don't give monthly to very many causes, but this one is more than worth. Please save us.

I appreciate the value of your insightful criticism.

Ella Baker Center has long been doing the work of fighting the cycle of poverty and incarceration - especially at the interface of youth and prisons. They implement community programs to empower those most hurt by the criminal justice system, they police the police, they campaign for divestment from prisons, and they demand financial accountability from the Alameda Sheriff's Dept. They offer many modes of additional engagement, e.g. podcasts, educational events, book talks, and more, at an impressively high frequency. I'm new to following Ella Baker Center, and I'm inspired by the excellence, commitment, and reach, of this organization.

We are a nonpartisan organization of former NASA astronauts who have sworn to defend the Constitution of the United States.
