The WVC is a one-of-a-kind non-profit that for almost 2 decades has served the needs of focusing primarily on women's wise and skillful voices in the field of psychedelics. It is run by dedicated women leaders in the field who forefront the multitudinous contributions of women in the history, current practices, and knowledge from lived experience with psychedelic substances. The decline into frailty, disease and declining independence due to aging is the cause of the greatest amount of human suffering in the world today.  Literally, billions of people are experiencing these ill effects now, and in the future.   

No single treatment will solve all the issues with aging decline.  They must be combined in a divide and conquer strategy.  This is why the Robust Mouse Rejuvenation (RMR) experiment, done by the Longevity Escape Velocity Foundation (LEVF) is so crucial to relieving this suffering in the shortest possible time.

I know enough about biology and genetics to be sure that Aubrey de Grey's approaches have huge merit, and potential of becoming a reality.  I also believe in what LEVF is doing, by doing and funding the research required that may not be otherwise easy to get investments or grants for.  But it's needed to further the reversing ageing approach.  Kudos!

We aim to give a life full of dignity and care to vulnerable elderly people in the Bucerias, Nayarit region of Mexico. 

History:

Tercera Edad has significantly and continuously  impacts the lives of hundreds of vulnerable Mexican seniors in the Bucerias community.

In Mexico, familial devotion to elder care is a deep-rooted tradition; most families strive diligently to support their senior members. However, challenges arise when resources are limited. For instance, in households where all adults are employed full-time, there may be no one available to care for elderly relatives during the day. Additionally, as in many cultures worldwide, some seniors unfortunately may become victims of abuse.

In the state of Nayarit, the absence of non-profit long-term care (LTC) homes exacerbates these challenges. The existing for-profit senior care facilities often charge fees that are unaffordable for many families. As Mexican society gradually moves away from traditional models of senior family support, the need for an alternative support system becomes increasingly evident.

Casa de la Paz is a new facility dedicated to providing comprehensive care and housing for seniors. This project addresses the urgent need for non-profit long-term care homes in Nayarit, ensuring that seniors receive the necessary care and support. Construction of the home is 80% complete and can be followed on our web site Cdelapaz.org.  The funds we require will primarily be allocated to cover operational costs to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the facility.

Delivering mobile-based rehabilitation programs to treat COPD, making treatment accessible in areas where it is currently lacking.

**Overview**
Respira Health is developing a free, mobile-based pulmonary rehabilitation program to close the treatment gap for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) - India’s second leading cause of death. Incubated in March 2025 through Ambitious Impact’s Charity Entrepreneurship Program, we are in the early stages of building a scalable, cost-effective model for delivery across low-resource settings.

**The Problem**
COPD is the fourth leading cause of death globally, responsible for over 3 million deaths annually. Critically, 90% of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where limited healthcare capacity and logistical challenges prevent patients from accessing effective treatment. In India, this treatment gap is especially pronounced, despite the availability of proven interventions.

**Our Solution**
Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is a well-established intervention combining strength and cardio exercises, breathing techniques, lifestyle support (e.g., smoking cessation), and psychological care. Research shows that just three PR sessions can reduce the risk of death by 9%. Digital delivery of PR via mobile phones or web platforms has been shown to be as effective as in-person programs, but at a fraction of the cost. Respira Health is adapting existing PR content into a mobile-first format accessible via widely used platforms like WhatsApp to ensure it reaches underserved COPD patients across India.

**Current Activities**
We are conducting scoping visits in Mumbai and Delhi from July - September 2025. Our objectives are to:

- Understand the burden of COPD and the broader healthcare landscape.
- Conduct needs assessments with healthcare workers and patients.
- Test key assumptions around digital platform usability, referral pathways, and patient adherence.
- Build relationships with potential collaborators for future pilot implementation.

**Future Plans**
Upon completion of our proof-of-concept phase, we will fundraise for a pilot launch. Our primary goal for Year 1 is to demonstrate uptake, engagement, and adherence in low-resource communities, paving the way for scale-up in 2026.

**Impact Potential**
Our intervention could provide millions of COPD patients with access to life-extending care currently out of reach. By leveraging digital tools, we aim to overcome traditional delivery barriers and radically expand access to pulmonary rehabilitation. We estimate that the average patient completing our program will gain over six months of healthy life. Based on our cost modelling, we anticipate averting a disability-adjusted life year (DALY) for just $20 - making our intervention potentially five times more cost-effective than GiveWell’s funding bar for highly cost-effective charities.

**The History of Chipping Campden Music Festival**

**The Chipping Campden Music Festival** is an International classical music festival based in the ancient town of Chipping Campden, ‘the jewel of the Cotswolds'  nestled in the heart of rural England in an area of outstanding beauty.  The Music Festival was established in 2002 over a bottle of wine between friends in the kitchen of the Festival Founder, Charlie Bennett,  and since then has grown into one of the UK’s most prestigious Classical Music events.T he Music Festival runs for a fortnight annually in May, stages around 20 concerts, performed by some of the world's greatest musicians to an audience totalling over 5000 people. The majestic 800 year old St James' Church is our concert hall and it is the extraordinary acoustic in this historic building that attracts both musician and audience from around the world, an acoustic described by Sir Alfred Brendel as “*one of the finest acoustics I encountered in my 60 year career”.*  

The Music Festival firmly believes in supporting and inspiring the next generation of musicians and integrated into and around the Festival are several well established, long term schemes dedicated to this aim. 
We have built a highly acclaimed side by side teaching orchestra, **The Chipping Campden Festival Academy Orchestra or CCFAO** (est. 2008) for Conservatoire graduates on the cusp of their professional career who spend a week at the Festival working alongside seasoned pros hand-picked from Europe's best orchestras. This unique scheme (50% experienced professionals and 50% students) creates a bespoke orchestra each year, auditioning around 200 graduates for the 25 student chairs. During the Festival the CCFAO performs 3 concerts to sell out audiences, sharing the stage with world class soloists in concerto performances. Many of our alumni now work in orchestras around the world. The whole community supports this scheme offering accommodation, refreshments, transport, and a listening ear to the 50-member orchestra during their stay in the town. 

For younger musicians, we have developed a **vibrant, immersive year-round education programme** reaching around 700 children annually, offering local students free instrumental lessons from experienced musicians, a tiered youth orchestra scheme, free Festival concert tickets and inspirational workshops from Festival performers. 

For the wider community, we have established and support the **Campden Community Chorus** (est. 2013) with around 60 members ranging in age from 17 - 87, meeting weekly and performing regularly to local audiences.

In 2010, **The** **Chipping Campden Literature Festival** was founded as a complimentary Festival to the Music Festival, and takes place in the week prior to the Music Festival. It is renowned for presenting a series of thought provoking, original, and wide-ranging events featuring some of the world's greatest writers. Since 2010 the Literature Festival has grown in size, reputation and popularity, now attracting over 3000 audience members to over 50 events - a mix of intimate and large scale talks, lectures and discussions, held in venues around the town of Chipping Campden and reaching into the heart of the community.

The two Festivals are overseen by the same board of Trustees under the umbrella of The Chipping Campden Music Festival Charity.

Promotion and arrangement of concert performances, literature events and music educational activities. 

**Governing committee**
The Chipping Campden Music Festival received Charitable status in 2005, and is governed by a board of Trustees who are: 
Ailsa Scott, David Roberts, Arthur Cunynghame and Suzanne Smith. 

Suzanne Smith was appointed in 2024 to replace Richard Stephens, one of the original trustees who stepped down in 2023, due to age and health. Founder Charlie Bennett was an original Trustee, but stood down when he became Festival Director in 2007.

**Current Management**
Festival Founder, Charlie Bennett served as Artistic Director of the Music Festival until 2023 when he stepped back to focus on the Literature Festival. The Music Festival is now run by Charlie’s two colleagues, Jessica May (Co Director) and Thomas Hull (Artistic Director). Tom and Jessica have both been closely involved in the Festival from the early days and are supported by a seasonal team of 6 paid members of staff and a network of over 20 volunteers who offer their services as front of house, hosting and catering staff. Their first two Festivals (2024 and 2025) have been met with universal approval, growth in ticket sales and increased financial support from key donors. 

The Literature Festival is run by Charlie Bennett (Co-Artistic Director) and Vicky Bennett (Co-Artistic Director and Founder) supported by a seasonal team of 2 paid members of staff and a network of over 15 volunteers who help with the day to day operations of the Literature Festival. Since 2023, the ticket sales and audience size has doubled from c1600 - c3100 due to a more ambitious and wide-reaching programme of events as well as the opening of a new community theatre with a bigger auditorium and a perfect venue for the spoken word.   In 2025, the Literature Festival produced their first play – Samuel Becket’s Waiting for Godot – to great acclaim. The success of this production will pave the way to similar projects from the Literature Festival team.

- ARI embraces a global autism community, networking with parent support groups worldwide. The network aims to improve communication among support groups and inform the international community of the current state of the science regarding the underlying biology of ASD and evidence-based treatments. To date, 230 groups have joined the network spanning 77 countries, including Argentina, Belgium, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Israel, Moldova, Nigeria, Peru, Poland, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Vietnam.

- ARI continues to translate many key articles, as well as our[Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC)](https://autism.org/autism-treatment-evaluation-checklist/), into diﬀerent languages—the ATEC is now available in 25 languages online. On average, more than 150 users per day complete ARI’s ATEC.

We have sponsored over 100 days of residential retreat practice.

A surprisingly large part of our impact has been among seniors, who have benefited from our gentle techniques.

Many have found our services to be supportive of longterm recovery from addiction.

Our non-sectarian approach to spiritual development has been beneficial to people both inside and outside of traditional religious communities.
