**About Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies**

A source of shared community and healing since 1985, "Neuro" is a place where everyone belongs. We are the only nonprofit clinic group that provides mental health, occupational, physical, and speech therapy along with naturopathic care to children and families in Oregon. Neuro programs are designed to honor the whole person, celebrate their victories, and seek growth in challenge. By using Nature-based therapy, Play therapy, Feeding therapy, and much much more, we incorporate the most effective and innovative treatments and techniques to empower our clients with new skills and understanding about themselves and the world. Most of our clients are living with multiple diagnoses and many require long-term or even lifelong therapies. Annually, more than 1500 families are supported by our 65 specialty providers and 35 dedicated staff.

As a majority of our clients receive Medicaid, the removal of financial barriers to therapy is vital to ensuring our families can thrive. Neuro is a trusted resource in each of our eight communities.  We're also the first organization of our kind designated as a Culturally Specific provider by the Oregon Health Authority--specializing in serving neurodiverse people living with disabilities. The CLSS designation creates additional funding for serving this unique population. This designation along with your support will help us deliver on our commitment to reduce barriers to care and to hire and train the best providers to work with our amazing families.

Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) is a medical INGO focusing on providing largescale access to free, quality healthcare for the marginalized people in Myanmar. MAM commenced its implementation of activities in 2009 with the first clinic in a huge shanty Hlaingtharyar Township in Yangon. Since then, we expanded to 20 clinics in Yangon, Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Shan, Mon and Sagaing. MAM has also expanded to other areas of need, such as child protection/education.

Furthermore, MAM has recruited and trained villagers in approximately 2300 villages across Myanmar to provide diagnosis and treatment for Malaria, TB and basic health care, amongst others. MAM’s clinics cover a wide variety of services for different diseases ranging from HIV and TB to Basic Healthcare or Hepatitis. In 2023 MAM conducted just over **2 million** medical consultations.

**Bal Asha Trust provides comprehensive care to abandoned and destitute children for 38 years.** Our child protection services ensure immediate shelter in their children's homes.  **We have supported over 6,000 children through our programs.**

**We provide physical care, health services, education and well-balanced meals,** including formula milk for infants and four healthy meals a day for older children.  Our children go to different schools as per their ability. **We have two visiting pediatricians who treat children with a range of conditions,** from undernourishment,  Hep. B, Albinism and HIV to cerebral palsy and developmental delays.

**We also assist with legal procedures to reunite children with their biological parents across India or find caring Adoptive parents.** The goal is to ensure that every child in our care has the opportunity to grow up in a loving and supportive environment.

Supporting the health and well-being of drug-exposed infants in the foster care system.

Most newborns in foster care have been exposed to drugs or alcohol, and are at high risk for developmental, health, and emotional challenges. Our current initiative is to procure "smart bassinets," such as those used in hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), for the emergency foster parents who care for these infants. Newborns who have been exposed to drugs in utero can have a variety of complications during withdrawal, including excessive fussiness and failure to thrive. Smart bassinets are utilized to soothe drug-exposed newborns and promote safe, restorative sleep, but the cost of these units puts them out of reach for most households. Your donation can help us put a smart bassinet into the home of a foster parent who is specially experienced in giving care to drug-exposed infants.

KoRoot is an NGO providing leadership to the worldwide adoption community on issues of adoptees’ right to origin.

KoRoot is an NGO providing leadership to the worldwide adoption community on issues of adoptees’ rights to their birth records, and solidarity efforts with single parent families fighting for family preservation. KoRoot is finding solutions to the root causes of overseas adoption matters by increasing awareness about the economic disparities and discrimination targeting adoptees and single moms in Korea.

Almost 200,000 Korean children have been adopted internationally since the 1950s. Today hundreds of children are still being sent abroad for adoption every year. More than 90 per cent of babies put up for adoption are the children of unwed mothers, who fear being rejected by a socially conservative society.

 When overseas adoptees reach adulthood, many choose to return to South Korea, to learn more about the country of their birth and search for family members.

 KoRoot was established to support these overseas adoptees with the challenges they face in navigating an unfamiliar country and seeking answers about their family background and identity. Their guesthouse provides a welcoming home for ‘returnees’ on their visits to Korea, as well as a range of assistance including family tracing, trauma counselling and cultural events for returnees to build their understanding of Korean culture.

 

Approach

KoRoot is committed to reducing international adoption in South Korea.

 Their research institute focuses on raising awareness of the issues surrounding overseas adoption by publishing books, translating key academic literature about adoption and child development into Korean. KoRoot promote alternatives to international adoption including family strengthening services and domestic adoption.

 They collaborate with other volunteer groups in Korea to lobby for the country’s adoption law to meet international standards. Returning adoptees often participate in these events, sharing their first-hand experiences. In 2011 KoRoot established a ‘Single Mother’s Day’ that is now celebrated annually, to raise awareness of the rights of unwed mothers and reduce the stigma they face in society.

Friends of the Animals (FOTAS) is a non-profit organization that supports cats and dogs in Southern Oregon in need of a new, loving, permanent homes. Our volunteers improve the quality of life for animals at the County Shelter, and our strong foster program ensures adoptable animals get a second chance by being nurtured in a loving home and spayed/neutered before adoption.

Over 24 thousand children in Florida Foster Care, 21 thousand at-risk youth in the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice System, and over 59,000 arrested/intake in 2018. The suicide rate for kids ages 10 to 14 nearly tripled in the last decade around the nation. Children who feel abandoned, unwanted, unloved, rejected, and alone. This organization brings compassion and love from their supporters. Our mission is to utilize our programs by speaking hope and encouragement through inspiring true-life stories of our own heart healing experiences. Our purpose is to help instill confidence, worthiness, better self-esteem, and creating positive memory events. These at-risk children already have enough bad memories. Whole Child International is a nonprofit, international child protection and development organization founded in 2004. 

Whole Child International works collaboratively with local partners, governmental and non-governmental, to ensure that children receive the quality of care they need to grow into resilient, productive citizens, regardless of where they live.  We use an evidence-informed approach, drawing on cutting edge child development research, to train caregivers, child protection authorities, and government actors to ensure the entire child protection and development system is focused on ensuring positive outcomes for the most vulnerable children.  

Our work in Nicaragua and El Salvador produced statistically significant improvements in cognitive and social functioning, as well as weight- and height-for-age, without substantial changes to the material environment or their diets.  We change the behavior of the adults around the children to provide relationship-centered care and transform children's developmental trajectory.  Developmentally supportive care in childhood is associated with better educational, economic, health (physical and mental), and social outcomes later in life; that is, providing quality care for today's children helps reduce poverty, conflict, and social inequities in the future.  

Women and children are disproportionately affected by violence, climate change, and poverty; they are also key to disrupting these harmful cycles.  Our approach strengthens families, both biological and not, by equipping caregivers with the skills they need to care for their children's holistic needs, emotional, developmental, nutritional, etc.  We work with childcare centers and providers in low-income and high-violence areas to improve the quality of care available to children who might otherwise not have access to these services.  We especially work with women -- both caregivers and those working in the child protection system -- to develop their capacity as community leaders and models for positive change.

Kafeel Orphan Care Corp

To assist and protect orphans, street children, and children victims of abuse in Egypt, their families and communities.

To support the most vulnerable children in Egypt, through one of the most innovative Child Protection organization in Egypt.

FACE provides services to safeguard children, by addressing their needs and working with their communities to create practical, innovative and sustainable solutions to ensure them a better future. Since 2003, FACE has been running projects in Egypt, with the aim to improve child protection and develop alternative care for children living in institutions, and to reduce the number of children and youths working or living on the streets and reintegrate them into their society.

FACE has been working with orphans and abandoned children since 2003, and the organization runs since 2024 the first National Kafala Center in Egypt in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, which aims at receiving all abandoned babies and orphans in Greater Cairo and Alexandria to ensure these babies have a chance to be placed in a Kafala family (local form of adoption/alternative care).                                                                FACE also runs 2 homes for children (males and females) who cannot be placed into Kafala families and who need to be raised and supported toward their social integration. A new aftercare program was created in 2021 to ensure all young people receive adequate support to ensure their social and professional integration after they leave the care of FACE.

Since 2008 FACE also runs a Street Children Program, composed of a large outreach team supporting children on the streets, in detention centers and in the poorest communities and slums through prevention activities. The Program runs a transitional home and case management team working to support children, and their families provide preventive support or to ensure children safe and sustainable reintegration. The program has become a model of good practice and provides support to more than 3500 children and to hundreds families every year.

Both programs include a Training component, to ensure the systematic and ongoing training of all FACE projects teams, to ensure effective children protection and high standards in service provision. The FACE training also works to provide training and technical support to different local organizations, schools, companies, and to local and national child protection public bodies about Child protection, childcare, social work, non-formal education, alternative care and other topics.

Sine 2022, FACE is facing the increasingly difficult economic context in Egypt, with a very high inflation and several devaluation of the local currency in recent years, which have contributed to increase needs for support among the poorest categories of the population, but in the same time have largely affected the organization finances. FACE needs your support to contribute to our work in favor of child protection in Egypt and to help us to continue providing support to the most vulnerable children in Egypt.

FACE for Children in Need

We are dedicated to ending preventable newborn deaths through comprehensive breastfeeding support and breast milk donation.

ATTA Breastmilk Community (ATTA) is registered as a limited-by-guarantee not-for-profit organisation in Uganda called the Alyssa Marie Foundation. ATTA screens potential donor mothers for diseases that can transfer through breast milk, then collects and dispenses donor human milk to frail newborns who do not have access to their mothers' own milk but require breast milk to survive and thrive. Our vision is a world where all newborns have the breastmilk they require to survive and thrive regardless of their mother's ability to provide it at that time. We believe in equitable access to donor milk, and as such, our donor milk is free of charge at the point of access, particularly for those who need it the most. Our future model is to operate on a cost-recovery basis.  The World Health Organisation recommends that the next best thing when a mother’s milk is not available is donated breast milk from another mother, especially when the baby is born underweight, premature, or sick.

•	Safety: We protect health through adherence to the highest possible standards of screening, processing, , and ethical sourcing of donor milk.

•	Transparency: We consistently strive for the highest level of integrity, ensuring that all stakeholders have informed choice and consent. We also perform annual audits and have had unqualified reports.

Background:

Uganda has 27 deaths per 1,000 live births, which is considerably above global targets and has not changed much in 20 years. Many mothers in the greater Kampala area, who undergo Caesarean-section births, experience complications during vaginal birth or in situations when a new-born has inter-uterine complications, some of which result in prematurity, sickness, low birth weight, poor maternal mental health or death, early breastfeeding initiation is low and often a challenge. Prematurity, birth complications and low birth weight are major drivers of this death rate, and in these situations, the benefits of breastmilk are even greater than in a healthy baby born full term. ATTA ensures that the newborn, with parents’ consent, has access to screened donor breastmilk from mothers trained in milk handling. We advocate for the benefits of breastfeeding, breastmilk and the role of donor milk banking. Public engagement and educational activities for health workers are also underway. We align with the WHO, NICE guidelines and national infant feeding policy to support the health system. Our team includes a neonatologist, physician, lactation consultant and a paediatrician, and all have lived experiences relating to birth trauma, prematurity and milk donation, including in the context of bereavement.

History and Current Operations:

Since its inception in 2021, ATTA has dispensed over 840 litres of donor breast milk, which has been received from over 165 donor mothers, and shared with 500 newborn babies in need of this milk. We firmly believe that because of the work being done by our committed team and the generous support of not only the donor mothers onboarded onto the platform but the general public at large, ATTA has been able to save the precious lives of newborn recipients. In addition to providing donated breastmilk to in-need babies, ATTA has trained over 140 healthcare workers in delivering knowledge and necessary skills in catering for newborn nutrition and the advantages of donated breastmilk.

Funding:

ATTA benefits from the generosity of funders through crowdfunding of one-off and regular donations from individuals. We have also received funding from both local and international organisations, totalling $150,000. 

Sustainable Development Goals:

The WHO emphasises that breastfeeding addresses several climate and environmental issues and supports many of the sustainable development goals. This low-cost intervention is especially crucial in low income countries where there may be many barriers. Breastfeeding speaks more specifically to the following goals.

Goals 1 – No poverty – it costs very little to ensure a mother is able to nourish her baby with breast milk whenever possible.

Goal 3- Good Health and Wellbeing - There are health benefits for both mother (reduction in chances of ovarian and breast cancer) and baby (lower risk of hospitalisation during the perinatal period and future health)

Goal 7 and 14 – Clean and Affordable Energy – Breastfeeding does not require any form of cooking fuel and is thus good for the environment.

Future:

The success of ATTA will be evidenced by a sustainable model of human milk banking with high levels of community awareness, a steady supply of donated milk and logistics to support the transfer of this milk to the babies who need it most, free or highly subsidised at the point of access. Through engagement and empowerment, there will be a greater understanding at the community level of the benefits of breastmilk and a desire to contribute to this healthcare intervention. We are dedicated to influencing legislation to support and uphold overall maternal and neonatal health. Milk donations will be as well established and acceptable as blood donations. The most recent demographic Health Survey indicates high mortality beyond the immediate neonatal period, with infant mortality at 42 per cent. We are working to ensure that in the next few years, we will have transformed cultural attitudes so that every parent can access empathetic support through trained counsellors or peer networks.

Our commitment extends beyond health; it touches on fostering diversity, equality, and inclusion. By providing a platform that supports all mothers regardless of their socio-economic status, we hope to break barriers to healthcare access. ATTA actively promotes inclusion by ensuring that every mother who wishes to donate or needs donated milk feels welcomed, valued, and supported.

Our logo is the most visible element of our identity. It is an identifier of the brand, an ode to our foundations, and a celebration of our hopes. The icon is a combination of a mother feeding a baby wrapped in a drop of milk. The baby and the mother are intentionally duotone to signify the generous donors who share their love, time, funds, affection and breastmilk with babies they do not know or might never meet. The icon of the baby has wings not only as a celebration of innocence but also as a recognition of Alyssa Taha (daughter of the founder who died three days postpartum)and all the other little angels lost.

Spetses Care For Animals is the first veterinary clinic established on the island of Spetses, providing services for stray cats.

The SCFA Veterinary Clinic was established approximately three years ago on the island of Spetses, where there was previously no veterinary clinic or resident veterinarians. Through unwavering dedication and a profound love for animals, we successfully brought both essential components to the island. Our daily efforts are focused on addressing the needs of the substantial stray cat population, estimated to exceed 6500 on the island. This involves performing spaying and neutering procedures, administering vaccinations, conducting deworming treatments, and meticulously recording and maintaining medical statistics related to their health and diseases.

The veterinary clinic, along with the municipality and generous supporters have sponsored the medical care of more that 300 stray animals. SCFA established feeding and housing stations, colloquially referred to as "cat hotels" and "cat restaurants," in each cat colony within the town of Spetses. To date, 900 stray cats have undergone spaying or neutering through these efforts. Additionally, SCFA strategically positioned 18 watering troughs across the island and in wooded areas to provide a vital water supply for wildlife, especially during the scorching summer months.

The SCFA Veterinary Clinic implemented a comprehensive two-year total-care program for carriage horses on the island. This initiative encompassed complimentary registration, microchipping, vaccinations, deworming, and prompt medical attention when required. Additionally, educational seminars were conducted for carriage drivers to enhance their knowledge and understanding. In a bid to prioritize the well-being of these horses, SCFA also installed watering stations at strategic stops, facilitating convenient access to water during their summer work periods.

At the SCFA Veterinary Clinic we warmly welcome school visits as part of our commitment to educating and fostering a compassionate understanding of animals. Our dedicated team ensures that children have the opportunity to explore our facility, gaining insights into the various services we provide for the welfare of animals on the island. Additionally, we take pride in our efforts to extend learning beyond the clinic's walls. Initiatives such as the creation of the first part of the educational fairy tale series, "The Adventures of Xout and Ust," and its distribution to kindergartens and Spetses Primary School, are part of our effort to cultivating a love for animals from an early age. Through engaging and informative experiences like walks with students from Spetses Elementary School, where they actively participate in feeding stray cats, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility and empathy towards our furry companions in the hearts of the younger generation.

The Seattle Angels mission is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.

Our Love Box® program provides community and holistic support to fostering families, including caregivers, children experiencing foster care, and biological/adopted children. This wrap-around support empowers caregivers to continue to do the important and meaningful work of being foster parents. Each Love Box® volunteer/group will be matched with a local foster family based on location and compatibility. When our families are matched with committed volunteers who show up monthly, parents feel supported, and children gain a greater sense of normalcy, relational permanency, and self-confidence. This support also leads to increased placement stability, reducing the high rate of turnover that often occurs in the foster care system.

Our Dare to Dream™ program matches mentors with youth to navigate life's challenges together, providing advice, encouragement, and a supportive community. We believe that the simple act of telling a mentee "I believe in you," "You are special," and "You are going to do great things" can transform their journey entirely. Mentors meet both practical and emotional needs, guiding their mentees through tailored developmental milestones. Mentors commit to meeting with their mentees every other week to set goals and help them achieve their dreams. While the relationships ideally last a lifetime, the program is a one-year commitment.​

1.0 Background of The Mango Tree Kenya (TMTK)

TMTK was established in 2006 with the primary aim of providing integrated community-based support to orphans and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Homa Bay County, Kenya. This region, situated along the shores of Lake Victoria, was one of the hardest hit by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The devastating impact of the virus left thousands of children orphaned and facing uncertain futures. TMTK was created as a response to this crisis, working towards ensuring that orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) receive the care, support, and opportunities they need to thrive.

The organization envisions "a thriving child in a safe community and a healthy environment" and works toward this vision through its mission: to facilitate mechanisms that guarantee children’s safety, growth, and development within safe communities and healthy environments. This is done primarily through capacity-building initiatives aimed at empowering individuals and communities to take charge of their situations.



1.1 Programmatic Approach

TMTK’s programmatic approach is built on three guiding models: a Community-Based Approach, a Human-Centered Design Model, and a Co-Creation Model. These models allow the communities to be the key decision-makers in addressing their challenges, with TMTK acting as a facilitator. TMTK works through three key programmatic areas:

a) The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust: This program addresses the immediate needs of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). It focuses on creating safe, nurturing environments for these children by providing family-based foster care. Additionally, it emphasizes climate-smart agriculture, which reduces the harmful effects of climate change while providing sustainable livelihoods for families.

b) The Mango Tree Education Trust: This program focuses on providing access to quality education for vulnerable girls, survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), adolescent girls, and young women. Through the construction and completion of The Mango Tree Girls School and Rescue Center, TMTK is working to provide a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable girls to access secondary education.

c) Mango Tree Farmers Cooperative: This initiative transforms subsistence farming among OVC caregivers into sustainable agribusiness ventures, allowing families to generate income and improve their livelihoods.

The organization’s projects focus on rural areas in Kenya that have been deeply affected by HIV and AIDS. Poverty, limited access to education, environmental destruction, and resource depletion pose major challenges to these communities, where many children drop out of school after primary education. TMTK also addresses climate change, working to create sustainable solutions for the future.



1.2 Governance Structure

TMTK is governed by a Board of Trustees (BoT) with long-standing experience in various fields. The BoT provides strategic oversight to the organization, while the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who also serves as the Director, manages daily operations. The organization employs 20 staff members who possess expertise in community programming, education development, and climate-smart agriculture. These staff members are supported by a network of 175 village volunteers.

Sustainability and Empowerment: TMTK’s projects are tailored to meet the real needs of the people, encouraging grassroots empowerment and promoting self-sufficiency. This approach also helps stimulate social responsibility within the community.



2.0 Critical Success Factors (CSFs)

TMTK’s approach has led to several significant achievements:

Community-Based Orphan Care: TMTK has provided community-based care to over 8,000 orphans. This approach, which moves away from institutional orphanages, offers a nurturing environment for the children within their own communities.

Community Sensitization and empowerment: TMTK’s participatory processes have helped change the mindset of local communities. Many now understand the importance of contributing their time and resources toward their own development, care for their children, involved in livelihood improvement and environmental conservation. 

Local Volunteers: TMTK has developed and engaged a group of local champions, including village volunteers and community development support committees. These individuals act as essential links between the communities and project staff.

Alumni Network: Over 4,000 orphans and vulnerable children supported by TMTK have completed tertiary education and are now working in various professional fields across Kenya. They form a formidable alumni network that actively supports TMTK’s work.

Support for Children with Disabilities: TMTK has provided corrective surgeries and education for over 100 children with disabilities, including the blind, deaf, and physically challenged, many of whom have gone on to find employment.



Partnerships: TMTK has developed reciprocal partnerships with organizations such as TMT (UK), Egpaf, LVCT Health, GlobalGiving, and B1G1. These partnerships have provided financial and technical support for TMTK’s programs.

Advocacy Networks: TMTK is a member of various networks, including the Homa Bay Sustainable Development Trust (HOSDET), Lake Region Food Systems Network, and FEMNET, amplifying the voices of vulnerable groups in the community.



3. Key Areas of Intervention

TMTK focuses on five key areas:

a) Family-Based Care: Promotes community-based, family-oriented care for OVC as a better alternative to institutional orphanages.

b) Education and Skills Development: Provides scholarships, builds school infrastructure, and offers vocational training for disadvantaged children, especially girls.

c) Health and Wellbeing: Supports children affected by HIV/AIDS, conducts corrective surgeries, provides sexual and reproductive health education, and offers water and sanitation services.

d) Environment and Livelihoods: Promotes climate-smart agriculture and environmental conservation while supporting alternative livelihoods for vulnerable households.

e) Institutional Capacity Development: Strengthens governance and management structures to ensure organizational sustainability.



4. Achievements 

TMTK’s impact includes:

•	Supporting 8,000 orphans in their communities and transitioned 35 orphans from institutional care to family-based homes.

•	Enabling over 3,000 children to complete their education and graduate with professional and technical skills.

•	Empowering 1,692 farmers with climate-smart agricultural skills.

•	Establishing 1,127 women-led village enterprises.

•	Rescuing over 100 girls from sexual exploitation.

•	Planting over 314,000 tree seedlings as part of its environmental conservation efforts.

Identity Mission supports vulnerable children in Honduras by providing family-based care solutions alongside the local church. 

80% of children in an orphanage have a living parent or relative.  We work to keep children in families by two main approaches.

FAMILY PRESERVATION
In effort to prevent children from ever experiencing separation from their families, at-risk families are identified, and IM comes alongside the family to provide the support needed to prevent separation.  Our family preservation Director evaluates the family's situation and meets their immediate needs, preventing deep trauma to the child and family.  Once the crisis is averted, IM then walks alongside the family to discover the best means for sustainability

FOSTER CARE
As God has equipped us, we now have an operating foster family program in three regions of Honduras. Our foster families are supported by IDENTITY MISSION caseworkers, regular training, assistance with resources, a LOCAL PARTNER church that grasps the vision of family-based care and who is committed to serving the families who care for orphans, and family support events.

Making fishing dreams come true for individuals with life impacting challenges, metorship programs, and disaster relief efforts.  

On April 6, 2012, the fishing community lost a great angler, icon, and friend, Jose Wejebe, host of the immensely popular saltwater fishing television show, Spanish Fly. Through his show and his adventures, Jose shared his passion for fishing and a lifestyle that touched and inspired anglers around the world. At the same time, Jose encouraged conservation, leading his viewers by example to take better care of the environment they so enjoy.

Jose Wejebe never forgot his humble beginnings or those others that helped him find success. Throughout his life and career, Jose unselfishly donated his time, money and equipment to support countless charities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Marc House, Wounded Warriors, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and many others. The charitable work seen on his television series, “Spanish Fly”, documented only a small portion of his generosity. Behind the scenes, he quietly assisted with many more charities throughout the world. He did so out of compassion and kindness, and was humbled by those who expressed their appreciation.

In order to continue Jose’s passion for the marine environment, and dedication to support those who face life-impacting challenges, The Jose Wejebe Memorial Foundation was founded in April 2012. The Foundation will honor Jose’s legacy by continuing his charitable efforts.

The Foundation has worked with multiple organizations to refer individuals that can benefit from leaving reality at the dock, and live in the moment on the water. These include Make a Wish, the Outdoor Dream Foundation, the VA Hospital of Miami, and Wesley House as well as others.

Making fishing dreams come true has been our main focus to be bring some relief to those with life impacting challenges, circumstances over the past few years have led us to broaden our reach to meet other needs. We have assisted fishing communities after major hurricanes and supported local aid organizations during the height of the pandemic. We are also building our Legacy Mentorship Program.

We ensure their emotional, social, educational and physical well- being from birth to age 26 through a dedicated team of professionals and a wide range of critical services. As a result, disadvantaged kids have safe surroundings, loving relationships and a secure path toward tomorrow.

The Home for Little Wanderers

Bridge to Life Teen Homes is a California non-profit corporation dedicated to serving the local youth in Tulare County, CA. 

Bridge to Life Teen Homes is a California non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to serving the local youth in Tulare County, CA. Incidentally, Tulare County is the second largest Hispanic populated (65.5%) county in California.

Our main objective at Bridge to Life is to provide housing, support, and guidance to young individuals (ages 12-21) who have been subjected to traumatic environments, governmental foster programs, and low-income households. The individuals we serve would most likely be considered “at-risk” due to possible drug involvement/exposure, illegal activities, as well as other behaviors. Our ultimate goal is to be effective in helping them navigate their transition into independent adult living by bridging the gap between the present life-trajectory and a college-educated career path.

The Bridge to Life has established and has fully completed it’s non-profit, 501(c)(3) status and is presently in the application process with the State of California to be approved as an STRTP. Upon completion of the application process, The Bridge to Life will be the only approved STRTP in Tulare County, CA. This will allow teens ages 12-21 to be able to stay within their home community and not have to be transferred to other parts of the State or out of state which can increase risk of re-traumatization.
 
Currently, we are in the process of obtaining a license to operate two STRTP facilities in the city of Visalia, CA – one for 6 girls and another for 6 boys. These facilities have already been leased by Bridge to Life Teen Homes and are equipped for comfortable and safe living. Our bilingual specialists will provide culturally sensitive support and guidance to the young individuals in our care. They will help them navigate the challenges they face and ensure that their unique needs are met. We are committed to providing the resources needed to help these young people succeed in every way.

We kindly request support for Bridge to Life Teen Homes in the following areas:

1. Vehicle: To effectively provide for and support the educational and required social services to our youth, it is important for us to have our own means of transportation. This is especially crucial as these young individuals will most likely attend different schools within the cities of Tulare County. We will also take responsibility for transportation to meetings with social workers, court dates, and medical appointments. Having a reliable vehicle is essential for transporting up to 15 passengers (including the driver, personnel and 12 residents) to and from their destinations. 
 
Therefore, we are seeking your support in the acquisition of a minibus, such as the Ford Transit Passenger Van XL or a similar vehicle with a 15-passenger seat capacity. According to the pricing listed on the Ford official website, a minibus of this nature would cost approximately $57,000.00, including tax and licensing. We humbly request funding in the form of this amount or for a similar vehicle that meets our transportation needs.

2. Renovation: We kindly request support for Bridge to Life Teen Homes in remodeling one of the bathrooms in our boys' home. While the facilities we have leased are generally in good condition, this particular bathroom is in need of renovation to ensure it is clean and safe for our youth to use. With an estimated cost of $30,000, we aim to create a comfortable and hygienic space that promotes the well-being and dignity of the young boys under our care.

By contributing to the remodeling of this bathroom, you will directly impact the lives of the boys residing in our teen home. Your support will not only provide them with a basic necessity but also help create a sense of security, fostering a positive environment for their growth and development. We sincerely appreciate any assistance you can provide towards this important project.

3. Furniture: Although we have already leased the two facilities, we haven't furnished them yet. Your contribution towards furnishing our teen homes will greatly enhance the living environment for the youth under our care. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is crucial in providing them with a sense of belonging and stability. 

We understand that furnishing both homes comes with a significant cost, estimated at $20,000 for each house, totaling $40,000 for both. However, we firmly believe that investing in the comfort and well-being of our youth is invaluable. With your generous support, we can create an environment that promotes a sense of security and well-being, allowing the young individuals to focus on their personal growth and development. 

4. Accreditation: According to the law we are required to obtain national accreditation from an approved accreditation agency. Obtaining national accreditation is also a crucial step in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our teen homes. We have chosen to work with the Council on Accreditation (COA), a reputable and approved accreditation agency. However, this process comes with a significant cost, estimated at $13,000-15,000 for the four-year accreditation.

By investing in national accreditation, we are demonstrating our commitment to providing the highest level of care and support for the youth under our care. This accreditation will not only enhance our organization's credibility but also ensure that we are meeting the rigorous standards set by COA. Your support towards covering the fees associated with this accreditation will contribute to the overall success and sustainability of our teen homes, ultimately benefiting the youth and their well-being.

The total amount of support which is needed for all the areas mentioned above is $140,000. We greatly appreciate any contribution you can provide, whether it be for the full amount or for specific areas of need.

Helen Woodward Animal Center was founded as the San Dieguito Animal Care and Education Center in 1972 with its primary focus on pet adoption and humane education.  In 1986 the Center was renamed after its founder, Helen Woodward, and program offerings were expanded to include Pet Encounter Therapy, Therapeutic Riding, and AniMeals. These programs helped further our goal of serving as a place where “people help animals, and animals help people” by bringing people and animals together for the mutual benefit of both.  In 2017, the Center added Pets Without Walls to provide no-cost vet care to the pets of the homeless population in San Diego. Since then, we have added additional services including a top-rated boarding facility, a state-of-the-art equine hospital, an affordable small animal hospital for the public, and a designer resale store.

The name Kids In Crisis originated as a result of what the founders witnessed in the late 1990s in Gypsy communities in northwest Romania. They witnessed children truly in crisis. Children are so impoverished it was not unusual to see them walking barefoot in the snow. All were illiterate and hopelessness was everywhere you looked.

This endeavor is close to the Father’s heart. Luke 18:16 reads, “But Jesus called the children to Him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’ Bring the little children unto me.’” This is our call and commission to bring the Love of Jesus to children in need.

My Village Ministries seeks to provide family preservation through Biblical Hospitality. It received its nonprofit status in 2021.

My Village Ministries(MVM) mobilizes the local church to be the consistent care and community to socially isolated families in crisis. Our host families temporarily host children in their homes while parents get their feet back on the ground. Parents never lose custody and our goal is reunification. 99.9% of MVM's hostings end in reunification with no further government intervention needed. There are currently 23 church partnerships in Central Ohio that lead to more than 500 volunteers serving in this ministry. Our goal is that no children would end up in the foster care system unnecessarily and that we could support families before they end up in situations that could lead to abuse or neglect.

"It's ironic that I started out on theses very streets in the 80s and was apart of a documentary about homeless youth, now here I am 32 years later helping those living in homelessness on the very streets that I began on long ago.

Seattle Dogs started in 2014, helping one dog at a time, one paw  with one bag of dog food one paw at a time we handed out pet food. After working hard to have it all midway through our lives we spiraled down the windy road to nowhere fast and as the world we'd  built with unwavering love, dealing with hardships, forging our happily ever afters, having beautiful moments with our 3 young grankids, enjoying our dogs, it all came crashing down, were we really at rock bottom? With the reality of losing our home in our faces we began to navigate homelessness with our 4 dogs  

 we understood the obstacles, needs and necessities of these dogs and their humans. We had no idea when we started this that we would grow into who we are today. We look forward to learning and growing as we navigate our way thru the need of the animals and their humans

Diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease I am truly living that country song "live like you were dying" by Tim McGraw, while surrounded by love I battle my illness and push to keep Seattle Dogs going,we have to stay open, we must keep going, it's keeping me alive, with this I ask you to please donate! The Chosen Family Law Center, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to cultivating equitable social and legal recognition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) and polyamorous families and individuals, as well as other underserved family forms such as platonic co-parents or multigenerational families; eliminate prejudice and discrimination and defend human, civil, and other rights for these communities; and offering education to lawyers, therapists, and other professionals to enable them to best serve these communities.

ISS strives to support, protect, reunite, and mediate children and families separated as a consequence of cross border migration.

The International Social Service was founded in Geneva, Switzerland, almost 100 years ago in 1924 by a group of people dedicated to finding durable solutions for individuals and families migrating to the Americas (many of them travelling through Ellis Island) in the aftermath of WWI. We are now a network of ISS members present in more than 120 countries with a General Secretariat in Geneva providing coordination, training and capacity building.  For the last 99 years, ISS has carried out social services across international borders, constantly tailoring solutions to individual problems.  

ISS's main activities  

1. We provide socio-legal assistance to families and children separated by borders;
2. We specifically protect children placed in vulnerable situations or deprived of their families, such as unaccompanied or separated children on the move;
3. We specifically provide multi-disciplinary support to adoptees, their adoptive and birth families prior, during and after search for origins and reunification processes;
4. We evaluate national child protection frameworks and advocate for laws and policies in line with the best interests of the child; 
5. We offer training and provide tailored technical assistance  to all major stakeholders and professionals involved in child protection, alternative care and adoption.
 
How will ISS be better prepared for the future?
As we approach our 100th anniversary, we must be able to better prepare for unprecedented complex social challenges and continue to provide efficient and timely cross border services. We have identified the following  strategic priorities for 2020-2024; 

1. Network Development and Training through the development of online training webinars for our worldwide ISS staff
ISS aims to recruit new members to expand our global outreach while consolidating ISS worldwide presence. From 2022 onwards, ISS’ global online training system will become the standard; ISS members will be asked to participate in periodic training, refreshers and new training programs covering specialised topics.

2. Creation of a Knowledge and Research Institute digitalising almost 100 years of social casework and advocacy    
Anchored in Geneva, the Knowledge and Research Platform will include 9 decades of experience from tens of thousands of ISS conducted cross-border cases. 200 linear meters of ISS archives will be digitalised and integrated into the database. Research and publication capacity, in support of ISS advocacy in child protection and children's rights, will expand exponentially.The ISS Knowledge and Research Platform will be an open-source and multi-linguistic system.

3. Social work and Artificial Intelligence
AI technology will be used by ISS to bring improvements to our current social work service delivery methodology, leveraging the organisational history of casework to eliminate repetitive work, cut costs, free up time for caseworkers and allow them to remain focused on ISS beneficiaries.

4. Measure the Social Impact of our work 
ISS seeks to better quantify and qualify its social impact worldwide. Through the years, ISS has collected substantial data on the number of cases and beneficiaries of its interventions.Introducing standard Key Performance Indicators across the network and using existing data on successes and challenges will enhance ISS capacity to measure its impact. This in turn will improve our accountability in service delivery and strengthen ISS' competitive edge in cross-border social work, all leading to better services towards the people we assist.
 
5. Enhance External Communications and Fundraising 
SS strives to reach a larger public worldwide. For that, it will use various channels of communication including social media, local and international press and podcasts. ISS also aims to strengthen internal communications within the network which will help to streamline branding across members. 
Communicating ISS' activities, vision and mission, is critical to help different audiences, including potential donors, understand the value and impact of the organisation.

It was founded by Devendra Kumar, whose incredible journey began as a child laborer in a poverty-stricken environment. Where he faced numerous hardships and atrocities during his orphaned and challenging childhood. Born in a crime-prone slum, he endured abandonment by his parents, who left him with his three-day-old infant sister when he was just two years old. Despite these adversities, Devendra's indomitable spirit and resilience led him to find solace and purpose in serving others.

Driven by his determination to protect his sister from child marriage and dowry, Devendra founded the Ladli Foundation with the noble mission of uplifting the oppressed and disadvantaged. His personal experiences as a child laborer and his encounters with delinquents and drug addicts further fueled his commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those facing similar challenges.

Listed as a credible public charity organization by the Niti Aayog- the highest policy-making body of the Government of India and accredited with various union, states governments It has been and is known to bring positive reformative changes in society with a mission of building gender-sensitized inclusive society with equal access to basic, essential amenities and services, healthcare, education, work-force participation etc by women- the foundation has been diligently working in 50

We support children and adolescents separated from their families so that they can build powerful life stories.

The Fazendo História Institute, founded in 2005, based in São Paulo and operating in more than ten Brazilian states, was born out of the realization that children and adolescents separated from their families due to abuse, neglect and violence, living temporarily in foster care, need individualized and professional care in order to grow and develop at this stage of their lives. Our mission is to collaborate with the emotional, cognitive and mental development of children and adolescents, in order to strengthen them so that they can transform their life stories, breaking the vicious circles of abandonment and violence to which they were subjected.

The Institute was founded by four psychologists who aimed to create, systematize and strengthen methodologies so that children and adolescents in institutional care could be truly heard and have their personal and family stories valued. The Institute believes that every child and teenager has the right to full development, within the family and community and operates based on five core values: commitment to children and adolescents, the right to life stories, transparency in relationships, sharing knowledge, and qualified volunteer work.

All work is guided by three main legal documents and parameters: the Child and Adolescent Statute, the National Plan for the Promotion, Protection, and Defense of the Right of Children and Adolescents to Family and Community Life (2006), and Technical Guidelines for care services (2009). It also seeks international references to inspire the creation of best practices, such as the United Nations Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children (2009). The legislation stipulates that the period of foster care, although temporary, should be restorative. However, in order for the reference legislation to actually become a practice in the realm of child and adolescent rights protection, a new mentality must be built among all those involved in this network, breaking away from a history of charity work and building a highly qualified work based on an individualized approach that takes into account the singularities of each child and adolescent for their better care and referral.

The Institute operates through the following programs:

Making My History (Fazendo Minha História): This program trains and supports professionals from care services and volunteers in recovering and documenting the life stories of children and adolescents, using literature as a mediator in this process.

Training (Formação): This program provides training for managers, technicians, and educators, aiming to professionalize care services.

With Care (Com Tato): This program offers free and individualized psychotherapy to children and adolescents.

We Group (Grupo Nós): This program supports and assists teenagers in the process of leaving care services and transitioning to independent living.

Emotional Sponsorship (Apadrinhamento Afetivo): This program facilitates family and community involvement for children and adolescents with fragile or broken family ties, who have limited chances of adoption or family reintegration. This is achieved through volunteers committed to the role of emotional sponsors.

The Institute also runs a program for Foster Families, providing exceptional and temporary care for children separated from their families. These children are placed in volunteer families formed and supervised by the Institute's team until they can be returned to their own homes or placed with substitute families. Additionally, the Institute has an Advocacy department, established in 2017 to address the need to advocate for the rights of children and adolescents separated from their families by coordinating networks, services, and people to enforce the law and help build public policies to safeguard these rights

The commitment to knowledge sharing has led the Institute to systematize all its programs in publications, videos, activity sheets and other materials. Thus, our methodologies can be replicated throughout Brazil and even in other countries such as Costa Rica, Portugal and Argentina. All of this material is freely available on the IFH website and yields important fruits, such as the autonomous replication of Fazendo Minha História methodology in various municipalities throughout Brazil.

Since 2005, the Instituto have received numerous prestigious awards, including the Rumos da Educação Award from Itaú Social and the “ Prêmio Criança” Award from Fundação Abrinq, both in 2009. It also received the Pontinho de Cultura Award from the Ministry of Culture in 2009 and 2010, the CLAUDIA Award from Editora Abril, and the Social Technology Award from Fundação Banco do Brasil, both in 2011. The Institute was a recipient of the FIES (Itaú Social Excellence Fund) in 2011 and 2015, the “Todos por um Brasil de Leitores” Award from MINC in 2015, and was a finalist for the Visionaris Award in 2016, which recognizes outstanding social entrepreneurs. Additionally, it received the Best NGOs Award from Instituto Doar in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 including being named the Best NGO in the Southeast region in 2018. The Institute received support from Criança Esperança in these years: 2008, 2009, 2017, 2020 and 2022. Additionally, in this year of 2023, the institute received the Chico Xavier Humanitarian Recognition Award and the Silver Medal from the Betinho Award. In 2016 and 2018, it won grants from Fundação Salvador Arena to systematize the methodologies of two of its main programs, Training and Emotional Sponsorship. During these years, the Institute's team also authored several children's books, primarily focused on children and adolescents in care,  which features stories from 29 children and adolescents who have been or are in care services, narrated by the children themselves, as well as by family members, friends, volunteers, or professionals from the care services.

Over these 18 years, more than 19,000 children and adolescents have already benefited from our programs. We have worked with more than 1,500 foster services partners throughout Brazil, formed about 8,000 volunteers dedicated to the programs, trained over 15,000 professionals, and distributed over 50,000 books to foster service partners. In addition, in the last 6 years, we have received more than 100 children through our foster family service, with currently 32 families trained and able to receive children from 0 to 6 years old, thus avoiding institutional care and promoting a unique and individualized care experience.
