The Palestinian people in the Blessed Land of Israa and Miaraj have been subjected to a war of extermination, starvation, and siege for 8 months. In fulfillment of the duty to support our steadfast people in Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, and to alleviate their great suffering, we announce the following initiative:

In an effort to obtain the double reward for good deeds in the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, as stipulated in the Qur’an and Sunnah,

In accordance with the fatwas of several modern scholars regarding the permissibility of giving the price of the sacrifice in charity during times of war,

We are launching an initiative to collect sacrificial alms and donations to aid at least 2,000 families during the coming days of Tashreeq, in coordination with professional and reliable Palestinian relief associations.

Here are the details of the initiative:. The price of one sacrificial charity is $350.. The value of one donation share is $100.

Charities and donations will be received until 8 Dhu al-Hijjah, corresponding to June 14. Please type your name as you want it pronounced during the sacrifice in the comment/message area.

We are committed to spending and disbursing your charity and donations with priority and as much as possible in:

a. Purchasing sacrificial animals, slaughtering them on your name, and distributing their meat to needy Palestinian families (5 kg per family).

b. If the first option is not possible, we commit to distributing $100 to each family. (Scholars have issued a fatwa stating that it is permissible to give sacrificial alms in cash to the needy in Palestine if it is not possible to give them sacrificial meat.)
