Rwanda has gone through various historical eras of hatred and ethnic divisions that culminated in the genocide against Tutsis in 1994 and youths were massively exploited by bad politicians to spread the genocide ideology and successfully execute it.

Youths continue to be the major target by bad politicians especially those living abroad who want to bring back the ethnic divisions in Rwanda and are teaching distorted narrative of the Rwandan history in order to sow and deepen ethnic based hatred among Rwandan youths.

On the other hand, Rwanda is experiencing a rise in the use of substance drugs and excessive alcohol consumption and youths are the most susceptible to these fast rising self-destructive habits. Teenage pregnancies among female adolescents aged below 18 years are on the rise while prevalence of HIV AND OTHER SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES among youths in Rwanda is steadily increasing.

Youths are becoming more and more addicted to destructive habits that destroy their dreams, their mental and physical health as well as their future.

This project whose duration is eighteen (18) months aims to raise a generation of united, healed, ambitious, courageous and purpose-driven youth in Rwanda through a training that targets two thousands (2,000) participants including students from all secondary schools in Kicukiro District as well as all elected members of the National Youth Council at the sector level and all cells and villages that make up the district of Kicukiro.

The total cost for this project is estimated at $15,000 and its successful execution is expected to reduce juvenile delinquency, excessive consumption of alcohol, use of substance drugs, school drop outs, genocide ideology among youths and teenage pregnancies.

Harmony Consolidator Foundation is a newly founded woman-founded and women-led common-benefit foundation based in Kigali - Rwanda.

Harmony Consolidator Foundation was created by a rwandese woman who herself has been a victim of the atrocities that Rwanda went through that culminated into the geocide against Tutsis in 1994 and is a witness to existing cultural and social barriers that prevent women from achieving their full potential.

Both Children and women are perceived by many as men's personal properties which make the latter entitled to subjecting their perceived personal possessions, i.e. women and children to all sorts of abuses.

Thousands of defenseless children in Rwanda are defiled sexually, abused verbally and physically while others run away from their homes fleeing constant parental conflicts, physical and emotional abuses and therefore dropping out of schools.

Teenage pregnancies and suicide rates among youths are on the rise in Rwanda due to parental neglect, weak child protection services and constant marital conflicts.

Employment in the informal sector of Rwanda is excluded from legal coverage and millions of women and youths employed in the informal sector including households, family businesses and construction sites lack social protection, are left to the whims of their employers and are subjected to so many unreported abuses.

Harmony Consolidator Foundation was created to promote harmony in the communities, families and workplaces through promotion of SOCIAL JUSTICE, POSITIVE AND HEALTHY PARENTING, CHILDREN'S RIGHTS and ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF THE MOST VULNERABLE especially less educated/uneducated WOMEN AND YOUTHS.

Harmony Consolidator Foundation is based in Kigali-Rwanda and is legally registered with the Government of Rwanda since December 2023.

Harmony Consolidator Foundation's structure consists of 3 organs which are: (1)The Founder and Guardian (2) The Foundation Council   (3) The Executive Secretary

The founder and Guardian is a rwandese woman named Colette Mugwaneza with a consistent and strong passion to empower and change the lives of the most vulnerable especially less educated women and youth to enable them lead fulfilling lives.

The Foundation Council is responsible for the strategic direction of the foundation, ensuring that the foundation's resources are properly being managed in compliance with all existing and applicable laws and in line with the foundation's mission, vision and mission.

The Foundation Council is an all-women committee composed of the following Five volunteer members: 

- (1) Council Chairperson: Mrs NYIRABEZA Aline Souzan, a seasoned professional  social worker with more than 10 years of experience in community development and social work; 
- (2) Council Vice Chaiperson: Mrs NIYONKURU Esther, a young female professsional social worker with more than 8 years of experience in Counselling, Children protection's rights, Family Harmony and Community Development; 
- (3) Council Secretary: Mrs MUKAKALISA Adria, a survivor of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis in Rwanda, she has an extensive experience on community resilience, unity and reconciliation;
- (4) Council Member in Charge of Risk Assurance, Audits and Finance: Mrs KEZA Renata is a young professional with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Administration. She has a good experience working with youths especially in the rural areas.
- (5) Council Member in Charge of Impact: Mrs NYINAWINGERI Liberata is a survivor of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis and has more than 20 experience in community leadership, early childhood development, counselling, women development, entrepreneurship and public health.

The executive secretariat of Harmony Consolidator Foundation is its technical and coordinating organ responsible for implementing all the policies and strategic directions established by the Foundation Council.
