I have participated in some of the wonderful sex education classes that they offer to school children of different ages.   
The experience has convinced me that  age-appropriate sex education is very important in raising children who are comfortable with their own body and who can make well-informed decisions about their reproductive choices.   

Anoop and I have been long-time supporters of this organization.   They are the most effective and efficient educational non-profit in India and beyond.  

I listen to KUOW all day for unbiased reporting on local, national and international issues.   

I believe in the value of music education for everybody.   Music Works is a non-profit community music school.   For many decades, it has been providing tuition assistance to students who will otherwise not be able to afford music lessons.

Established in 1995 to provide education to children in Mumbai slums, Pratham (which means “first” in Sanskrit) is now one of the largest and most successful non-governmental education organizations in India.

Working in collaboration with governments, communities, parents, teachers, and volunteers, we focus on innovative interventions to address gaps in the education system. The clarity of our mission—“every child in school and learning well”—drives our focus to make an impact on the lives of India’s children and extends from our leadership to our team in the field.

Pratham USA is a volunteer-driven organization with 14 chapters across the United States that raise awareness and mobilize financial resources for our work on the ground.

What We Do
Develop Innovative Programs - Pratham uses outcome-driven programs that reconfigure teaching methodologies and challenge ineffective learning mechanisms. Our strategies focus on results, accountability and continuous learning and improvement.

Build Scalable Models - Pratham's low-cost learning models are rigorously tested and evaluated so they can be easily replicated on a larger scale to provide quality education to every child.

Advocate Change - Pratham’s willingness to take risks, adapt to changing circumstances and look beyond our programs gives us the leverage to create broader change. We amplify our impact by freely sharing information with other nonprofits and using our findings to advocate for large-scale policy changes.

Inspire Action - We engage parents, teachers and government to make learning a community effort. Local volunteers are vetted, trained and monitored to help implement learning interventions at the grassroots level using Pratham’s high-quality teaching materials.

Where We Work
With operations in 21 of India's 29 states, Pratham reaches millions of children and youth each year, from Kashmir to Tamil Nadu.  Our methods have also spread beyond India's borders through ASER, which has inspired parallel citizen-led assessments of children's learning in fourteen countries.

The Rosalynn Carter Institute For Caregivers drives transformative systems change to improve the strength, health, and resilience of family caregivers. People of all identities provide care to their family members, **but the experience falls disproportionately on women and girls**, with serious effects on their mental, physical, and economic health.

- 3 out of 5 caregivers in the US are women, and a significant number are women over 50.
- Caregiving disproportionately impacts women’s health. Female caregivers report higher levels of stress at every age, and also report that their health is negatively impacted. 
- More than half of all women caregivers in the US feel they did not have a choice in taking on their role.

RCI advances collaborative solutions rooted in evidence, driven by caregivers, and focused on achieving sustained impact. Through research and education, Vote Mama Foundation is working to make it easier for moms to run for and serve in elected office.

Vote Mama Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is building the political power of moms by identifying and researching solutions to the structural barriers moms face running for and serving in elected office.

Vote Mama Foundation research shows that moms with minor children make up less than 8% of state legislators and less than 7% of congressional representatives. Moms face extraordinary structural and cultural barriers to elected office, like the inability to afford childcare while campaigning without a salary or while commuting long distances to the capitol.
