Providing NYC Public Schools the Free Training and Resources to Start and Sustain Student Journalism Programs and Publications

Press Pass NYC equips under-resourced schools with the free faculty training, student resources, and program support necessary to start a sustainable student news publication program. Seeing a school newspaper or news site in every public school in New York City, in the form that’s best for that school and those students, is how our approach will and does make all the difference - and what every donation we receive goes toward.

$200 funds an in-school journalism writing, interviewing or photojournalism workshop
$250 funds a stipend for student's summer Editor Bootcamp                                                 $500 funds a stipend for a Student Journalism Leader Fellow
$1000 funds a stipend for a Journalism Adviser Fellow
$5000 fully funds journalism training and resources for one school for a full year
