Be Creative Zone is a fantastic organization that supports artists and helps the environment by upcycling, recycling, repairing, and repurposing items saved from the landfill!  Working with Surfrider and others, Be Creative  Zone actively helps make San Diego cleane, greener, and more beautiful.

Think Dignity provides for our unhoused population in ways that are not duplicated by other organizations, for example, by providing showers, storage facilities, undergarments (including personally-sized bras), and healthier food choices.  Think Dignity advocates for policy changes to help make our communities stronger by providing dignity to those members of our community who lack housing.

Arts matter because they connect our communities and ourselves.
I am very proud to be a board member for Vanguard Culture, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that works to advance San Diego's creative industry workforce with award-winning arts journalism, professional development for creatives and unique cross-industry cultural events.

This year, Vanguard Culture produced a full-length feature film which employed 37 creatives and was comprised of 62% BIPOC; hosted 7 FREE professional development workshops for creatives; and was awarded 16 Awards for Excellence in Journalism including Best Entertainment Website in San Diego. Be Creative Zone an Eco Art, S.T.E.A.M loving organization based in San Diego, CA. It received its nonprofit status in 1997.


Our Mission is to foster creativity and the arts as a way to inspire communities, promote innovation and clean up the environment.

Our Vision is to create a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) based Edutainment Center that specializes in A.R.T – Artistic Recycling Technology and by 2025 offer free STEAM based  arts and creativity classes for kids.

Our Purpose  is to get creative with stuff we SAVE from the landfill; deconstruct, sort, clean and store items for use in upcycling, repurposing, fix it and funky art projects with our Processing Center and Junky into Funky program.

Our Values – We revere used and found items, creativity and experiential  S.T.E.A.M. based education.
