Syria's health care system has been ravaged by years of conflict, with 70 percent of health care workers, especially the most qualified, fleeing the country since the outbreak of the uprising that turned into a civil war. Most of the country's public hospitals have been destroyed.

Fight mass incarceration by paying bail for Americans and offering needed support. We believe that paying bail for someone in need is an act of resistance against a system that criminalizes race and poverty and an act of solidarity with local communities and movements for decarceration. Over the next five years, The Bail Project will open dozens sites in high-need jurisdictions with the goal of paying bail for tens of thousands of low-income Americans, all while collecting stories and data that prove money bail is not necessary to ensure people return to court. We won’t stop until meaningful change is achieved and the presumption of innocence is no longer for sale.

We rescue dogs, cats and other types of animals suffering on the streets or neglected in the wild.

Hope For Paws is a 501c3 organization that rescues animals in the Los Angeles area and beyond in an effort to end animal neglect, homelessness and abuse. The team rescues animals, provides veterinary care, and transfers the animals to partner adoption centers. After the rescues, the team creates videos which they share on YouTube and Facebook to educate the public on the importance of companion animals in our society and inspire people to take action, support the cause, adopt animals, and help reduce euthanasia rates at shelters across the country.
