Code2040 is a nonprofit activating, connecting, and mobilizing the largest racial equity community in tech to dismantle the structural barriers that prevent the full participation and leadership of Black and Latinx technologists in the innovation economy. Through events, trainings, early-career programs, and knowledge sharing, Code2040 equips Black and Latinx technologists and their allies with the tools, connections, and care they need to advocate for and achieve racial equity in the tech industry.

We train barbers as mental health advocates within the barbershop setting, and out in their communities.   

The Confess Project is committed to building a culture of mental health for boys and men of color, and their families through capacity building, advocacy, organizing and movement building. We believe in a world without barriers to stigma and shame.

Started as 10-week walking challenge, 10 years ago, by 2 friends, GirlTrek is now a global movement of 1M+ Black women.

GirlTrek, the largest public health nonprofit for African-American women and girls in the United States. With nearly 100,000 neighborhood walkers, GirlTrek encourages women to use walking as a practical first step to inspire healthy living, families, and communities. As women organize walking teams, they mobilize community members to support monthly advocacy efforts and lead a civil rights-inspired health movement.

Beyond walking, GirlTrek’s active members support local and national policy to increase physical activity through walking, improve access to safe places to walk, protect and reclaim green spaces, and improve the walkability and built environments of 50 high-need communities across the United States.

With Partnership for a Healthier America, The Centers for Disease Control, Stanford Prevention Research Center, The American Council on Exercise, Safe Routes to School National Partnership, and The Sierra Club, GirlTrek has developed a world-class training for African-American women to serve as health professionals in the areas of fitness, mental health, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. GirlTrek’s mission is to inspire one million African-American women and girls to develop a daily habit of walking.

URBAN TxT - Teens eXploring Technology is an organization which encourages inner city teen males to become catalysts of change in urban communities.Youth learn new technology, digital media and leadership skills through project management, web development, graphic design, and web 2.0 tools. Youth utilize their newly acquired technology and leadership skills to positively impact their communities.

TxT serves middle and high school young men from South Los Angeles and Watts. We have partner with organizations such as USC, Boys and Girls Club, and Cal Poly Pomona. We believe that as a community we can change South LA and Watts.
