we.are.village in Berlin is creating new ways that queer communities can connect, transform and heal. For the last eight years, we have operated a unique space for queer masculinities and femininities, transgender, non-binary, genderfluid, intersex and other gender non-conforming people.


Our goal is to help queer people create and embrace healthier, better connected and purposeful lives. We do this by nourishing individual and collective growth through working with the body, mindfulness, artistic expression, consent and a range of self-empowering tools and strategies. In the process, we tackle loneliness, lack of self-esteem, intimacy and addiction issues, dealing with discrimination and other intersectional challenges that limit and impact queer lives.


We have created a diverse and continuously adapting program of weekly and monthly events, community evenings, weekend trips as well as art exhibitions, performances, salon discussions and offerings via our online platform.


Although it was never our focus, we  have become a model for other cities and countries. We regularly host visitors and participants from all over the world and have seen an increase in international interest from individuals, other organizations, activists, artists, politicians or other practitioners wanting to find out more about our innovative model and methodologies.

we are village - queer matters

BPS is on a mission to make psychedelic healing a publicly accessible good by becoming the world's first psychedelic co-op.

Founded in 2015, BPS is seeking to make psychedelic healing a publicly accessible good (like libraries do for books) by creating a nationwide network of psychedelic co-ops.

A psychedelic co-op is a democratically governed, community-based healing center. We think this is a model that can serve as a scalable, regenerative alternative to the more corporate medical approach to psychedelic healing.

The only problem? Psychedelic co-ops don't exist yet! And that's where Brooklyn Psychedelic Society comes in.

We're on a mission to become the very first psychedelic co-op that can serve as a pilot for the rest of the world. There are 110 psychedelic societies alone in the US and hundreds more around the globe. This is an emergent, grassroots network that contains the seeds for a true paradigm shift. If we can make this model work in Brooklyn, we can make it work not only with other psychedelic societies, but any community that would eventually like to have its own democratically governed healing center.

A psychedelic co-op has three primary functions: delivering top quality education and harm reduction on psychedelics, building community, and delivering safe, legal community-based transformational experiences.

Because a psychedelic co-op's offerings are community based, this will make the experiences not only more affordable but also more impactful. Why? Because it solves for something no traditional clinic can: isolation and loneliness. The community nurtured and supported by the co-op model will be a backbone of support for individuals pursuing healing and flourishing.

Creating communities of compassionate care to transform difficult psychedelic experiences into opportunities for learning & growth

“Every year, tens of millions of people use psychedelics to enhance their life experiences. Sometimes, especially in public settings, psychedelic experiences can be difficult or overwhelming. As a healthcare provider, I understand people are going to use drugs regardless of legal status. All we want to do is help people. Your gift will support psychedelic harm reduction initiatives at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) including the Zendo Project.

For ten years, MAPS' Zendo Project has been entirely funded by donors like you to provide compassionate support for people undergoing difficult psychedelic experiences. The Zendo Project facilitates psychedelic harm reduction by training volunteers and professionals like first responders to provide education, resources, and peer support services, particularly at large events. This year, the Zendo Project will return to Burning Man to provide peer support services after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19.  

Donors like you have helped prevent and transform thousands of difficult psychedelic experiences through educating and training volunteers. Peer support services help reduce the number of psychedelic-related hospitalizations and arrests by providing non-judgmental and trauma-informed support to those undergoing difficult experiences.
