When a child or parent is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, it's incredibly stressful and overwhelming. Soulumination captures images of children and their families to preserve precious memories for everyone in the family at no cost to them.

Now is an important time to support mental health for black women in our nation.

Located in Seattle, WA, founded by local photographer Lynette Huffman Johnson. We provide our specialized photographic services to families primarily in the greater Puget Sound area. However, we are happy to assist families in connecting with photographers in other areas of the United States.  Most of our referrals come from social workers, nurses, or other hospital or hospice staff, but anyone may refer a family after getting verbal consent that they are interested in having pictures taken.

Soulumination

Committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls.

The Loveland Foundation was established in 2018 by Rachel Cargle in response to her widely successful birthday wish fundraiser, Therapy for Black Women and Girls. Her enthusiastic social media community raised over $250,000, which made it possible for Black women and girls nationally to receive therapy support. Black women and girls deserve access to healing, and that healing will impact generations.

The Loveland Foundation is the official continuation of this effort to bring opportunity and healing to communities of color, and especially to Black women and girls. Through fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and more, ultimately we hope to contribute to both the empowerment and the liberation of the communities we serve.
