Chronic illness & End of life can be such a difficult emotional struggle for many of us as guardians. Our pets feel this too. Bright Haven have provided comfort in this time by supporting us with tools to assist us in understanding this sacred process.

Brighthaven Inc is a nonprofit organization focused on advocating or providing services for animals. It is based in Palm Desert, CA. It received its nonprofit status in 1993.

MISSION:

BrightHaven is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to helping people help older, disabled and chronically ill animals via our [Rescue](https://www.brighthaven.org/rescue/shelter-rescue/) and [Caregiver Resources and Education](https://www.brighthaven.org/caregiver-resources-education/) (including [animal hospice](https://www.brighthaven.org/animal-hospice/) and [holistic healthcare](https://www.brighthaven.org/holistic-healthcare/)) programs.

We also foster respect and compassion for all animals, honor animals as wise teachers and provide caregiver resources to the public about holistic healthcare, animal hospice and natural dying.

We look forward to a time when animal lovers from all walks and professions come together to experience love, compassion and respect for animals with special needs and those in the autumn of their lives.
