I have been a caregiver for persons with cancer, mental illness, elderly issues, and drug/alcohol addiction.  I hope my donation will help where it is needed.

The Rosalynn Carter Institute For Caregivers drives transformative systems change to improve the strength, health, and resilience of family caregivers. People of all identities provide care to their family members, **but the experience falls disproportionately on women and girls**, with serious effects on their mental, physical, and economic health.

- 3 out of 5 caregivers in the US are women, and a significant number are women over 50.
- Caregiving disproportionately impacts women’s health. Female caregivers report higher levels of stress at every age, and also report that their health is negatively impacted. 
- More than half of all women caregivers in the US feel they did not have a choice in taking on their role.

RCI advances collaborative solutions rooted in evidence, driven by caregivers, and focused on achieving sustained impact.
